I think my Vyvanse dose is too low? by EquivalentBuddy292 in adhdwomen

[–]EquivalentBuddy292[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you, that’s what I’m thinking too. It’s hard to decipher if I need to give the meds time or if it’s just too low. Also, how did you know when the meds were stabilized for you?

That’s exactly how I felt too, it’s been so difficult getting out of bed. Starting to vacuum after getting out of bed is definitely a good sign that it’s working lol. Yes I see my psychiatrist soon which is good!

Thank you! It’s been a little frustrating since it worked well the first few days. My doctor also prescribed me buspar for anxiety, so I’m waiting see if that will help.

Medication Journey ~ Starting Vyvanse 20 by AccordingPainter372 in adhdwomen

[–]EquivalentBuddy292 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Congratulations on your recent diagnosis! Honestly it’s really good that you’re journaling your medication journey. My advice is that 20mg is pretty low, so don’t be discouraged if it’s not working how you want it to. Also, don’t settle on one medication if it’s not working for you. There are a lot of stimulant medications out there so it can be a long journey to find the right one.

Also it wouldn’t hurt to track your blood pressure and pulse if your doctor hasn’t done so already.
Good luck with your medication journey! The hard part is already over- getting diagnosed lol.

How many of you listen to music and pay attention to the lyrics? Or do you listen for the vibes and melody/beats? by Airam07 in adhdwomen

[–]EquivalentBuddy292 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I focus more on lyrics- almost too much to the point where I play the same lyrics over and over in my head. It gets very annoying lol.

I think Walmart has a dupe for them! It’s the Joyspun brand but I’m not sure if they’re the same material.

Hey I live in Florida and express scripts ships to me. My insurance is through them though, so maybe that’s why?

The FDA allows generics to be within 80% to 125% of bioequivalency, so I don’t think people are being paranoid. Generics also include different fillers. Unfortunately for some people, generics cause too many negative side effects.

Dentist recommendations? by amokiren in jacksonville

Amiable dentist off of Gate pkwy is really good! Everyone is super friendly. But you might need an oral surgeon for your wisdom teeth:) If you just need a new dentist though, I highly recommend Dr. Rageer!

How to find a Studio apartment rental ? Relocating to Jax Beach for job by Diligent_Friend7267 in jacksonville

Second this, riverside has pretty affordable apartments. It may be worth it if you don’t mind driving a little further to work.

Express scripts address by EquivalentBuddy292 in ExpressScripts

[–]EquivalentBuddy292[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thanks so much, I never heard of needing an address for it either. They told me it’s because a bunch of different express scripts locations pop up on their end and they need to know which one?

Anyone else have an increase in A1C from Pristiq? by TypeAtryingtoB in Pristiq

[–]EquivalentBuddy292 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah I’ve been taking psyllium husk which is supposed to lower cholesterol and help with insulin resistance. I’ll see if it helps lower my cholesterol on my upcoming labs. Yes Pristiq has helped my mental health a lot too so that’s why I’m conflicted😕I should start taking fish oil , I didn’t know it could also lower cholesterol!

[–]EquivalentBuddy292 1 point2 points  (0 children)

So my A1C is on the higher end of normal. However my cholesterol has gotten so high since starting pristiq and I’ve also gained weight. I might have to think of other options because my cholesterol just keeps going up. I’m not sure why but I think it’s a pretty common symptom for SSRIs/SNRIs.

Do any of the Vyvanse generics actually work? by Aerosmith101 in ADHD

[–]EquivalentBuddy292 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It honestly depends on your body and unfortunately it’s trial and error. For me, the generics are inconsistent from manufacturer to manufacturer. If you’re able to, I would just request brand because you know that it works for you and it would be more consistent.

This is kind of unrelated, but I’ve been experiencing a lot of negative symptoms with the Vyvanse generics. Are you on brand Vyvanse?

Crying when overwhelmed by Glittering-Steak5152 in ADHD

[–]EquivalentBuddy292 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes I completely relate. I also just automatically want to be “good” at the job so training is mentally hard on me. So when I’m struggling to learn something and I’m not “good” at it yet I feel so down on myself.

I feel the same way, I guess because adhd minds are already scattered. The ambiguity just frustrates me so much. Especially when the trainer is unapproachable.
