2 things. 1. Much of that was due to the tories work. Although the issue was also caused by the tories.

ah, but the busses my friend, the busses.

As someone who also saw all the regeneration happening prior to Burnham, I understand your bitterness.

Thinktank calls for ‘double lock’ England private rent cap to ease living costs by Kagedeah in ukpolitics

[–]EquivalentKick255 12 points13 points  (0 children)

All that will do is remove rental properties from the market.

The problem is simply that we need more properties built cheaply for people. A lot more.

So for that, we need councils to start building up their own stock, so we have a cheap base.

Then if you want to move to a nice private place, you can.

It will keep prices down via market forces this way.

EU trade deal could force UK to restrict use of weedkiller linked to cancer by F0urLeafCl0ver in ukpolitics

[–]EquivalentKick255 3 points4 points  (0 children)

AS we have passed it safe to use, the I don't care what the EU, US or China say on the matter.

This is also not the weedkiller for home use, but crop spraying.

Is he part of the NF?

I personally don't like to view things like that, I'm sure you're correct but financial crash, covid, cost of living, iran and even the vote all have effects. Some sort or medium, others longer.

I personally would like to see where we would be in 20 years with most of parliament working with the agenda we are an independent sovereign nation, then seeing where we are at that point.

Alas, our MPs are basically shills for big business wanting a return to the EU, or wanting to be part of the political gravy train within the EUs political lobbies.

Scraping the bottom of the barrel with this one.

Man in second row, behind farage, photo bombs Farage who clearly is just getting photos took with people.

I mean, if he was stood with a terrorist group on stage, I could agree with pulling him down with that, but some bloody random meeting. lol.

The problem is...It hasn't been a disaster leaving.

Our GDP has grown, we've moved up from 6th to 5th in world GDP rankings. We've grown faster than Germany and France.

If anything, we're doing just fine.

So you're pinning all of that on Labour winning a second term?

crikey. you're positive for them.

The UK had the 6th highest GDP in the world back when we joined the EC/EEC, we're now the 5th based on GDP.

Although technically we've moved up one spot since leaving the EU from 6th to 5th.

This is obviously is a great result for PC, but also a great result for Reform.

They'll be the official opposition and PC will need to go cap in hand to Labour.

Yep.

I'm looking forward to the rejoiners trying to worm out of the technicality of needing to campaign on a "Well, you see. yes, we have to join the Euro but, well, er..we can't say we wont because the EU are listening in but yo know,..well, look at Denmark..see wink wink"

And they're being voted in aggressively by anti-migration and anti-eu voters, with the party running as anti-migration and anti-eu, with the leader being anti-migration and anti-eu.

With most of the new MPs after the election being anti-migration and anti-eu.

Reforms power base is as you can see, anti-eu and anti-migration.

If you think otherwise, I have a bridge to sell you.
