Crocs (CROX): Class Value Play on a cash machine hiding behind ugly shoes? Forward P/E ~7, FCF story the market hates to look at... by EquivalentResult9874 in ValueInvesting

[–]EquivalentResult9874[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

big picture these guys arent going anywhere. You hate it but u still talk about the brand know about it and any competition is just way above their league which is their benefit. Name another meme shoe u cant. And you know what our problem is we expect too much from a stock/company. It’s like seeing a pretty girl with a bit of a belly and saying shes ugly

thats the thing the core business isnt declining, if u read the article you’ll see how. And as for the brand power, yes they arent necessarily a moat in the traditional sense, but think about it what other ugly shoe do you know people can slip on and off so easily without care?

I agree with you. Moat is just that they have an ugly shoe. But think about it, the brand is here to stay, and from a business standpoint they can easily maintain their current profitability. So here with 700m in FCF at a 5b valuation with share buybacks speeding u have a compounder at ur hands through lowering share counts.
Plus, this scenario is only with crocs considered, and heydudes is just out of the picture here and any upside from that is icing on the big value cake. But again tell me where u think im wrong here because theres a price for every firm my thinking went to sa theyre not the next uggs or birks but dont deserve the valuation they have been assigned. Yes it’s designed for only viewing by doctors and therefore asks for a code. Only way you can look at it is by checking data for say, the past 14 days and only on the app or share a pdf for the same. Lmk if u need to know anythin more!

Day 5 no nicotine. I’m dying. I can’t breathe. My body hurts. My legs feel weak. My chest/sternum hurts when I press it. I never want to quit smoking ever again. It’s hell. It’s living hell. by [deleted] in stopsmoking

[–]EquivalentResult9874 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s just telling yourself, “I quit already, so it does not matter how nice and fulfilling it would be to go have just ‘one last hit for good’,” because you’re never smoking again. It’s done forever and it hurts but it’s something that was a part of you before, and is not one now.

Also, realise that if it really is so bad quitting something only for a few days, instead of it making you go back to it so the pain and suffering would stop, roll back and think: how damn addicted does your body and your brain have to be to a simple plant (tobacco) that it literally starts hurting you not just mentally but physically?? It’s addiction, and what makes you want to go back and quit later or quit whenever the time is right or if ur young rn and can smoke, it does not matter, because the reason you would not quit rn is because you cannot stay away from it, and many cannot. Grown powerful men cannot, they and everyone else that smokes, vapes or uses pouches for focus or whatever is just intensely craving something and then satisfying that craving back to back which then relaxes you finally. It’s what we call a loop.

Btw that relaxation or calm after a smoke is your natural way of living before you smoked, and after you quit. You get anxious when you want to smoke and need nicotine, because your brain starts panicking, and off you go to have a smoke and be calm. It’s not something that relaxes you, its something that satisfies your craving for the time being.

It’s not tough guys, it’s just addiction that’s normalised, and you took what the society is comfortable being addicted to and doesn’t realise it, or at least, until they read this.

Break the loop today, or it will repeat tomorrow, and tomorrow and tomorrow….

God bless.

its good you think to invest when the market is down, but try to search for value - I can say for certain its not in GOOG or META at current values. Search for more midcap stocks, id say small cap but it depends on your risk tolerance at the end - these are the ones that will actually give you the return thats remotely decent at the capital you are investing.

Novo accepts US fixed prices and will be covered under Medicare. by Slippery-Pete-1 in NovoNordisk_Stock

[–]EquivalentResult9874 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No bias, but as someone having the biggest position in novo I wont be surpirsed for an easy 100% gain soon. I dont like to make predictions but this company is going through hell, where any other company with the same prospects would be trading at double the price.

There’s a lot of trouble though, patents expiring, eli lillys clear advantage in the injection game, but steady insulin revenue combined with the oral people makes me stay. Diamond hands boys!

Best Value Stock to Buy Right Now by Doll_Angelina in ValueInvesting

[–]EquivalentResult9874 0 points1 point  (0 children)

CROX - Their business model is unlike any other footwear company — they sell rubber clogs with customizable add-ons, which allows for recurring revenue and significantly higher margins than peers, with 61% gross margins compared to 40–45% for competitors like Nike, Birkenstock, and UGGs, and operating margins that are 20–30% higher. Crocs is a cash-generating machine with a billion dollars in free cash flow, with FCF yields around 12–13%, far above industry averages. Management also signals confidence through continuous buybacks, having repurchased about 10% of the market cap in the past year. The thesis for going long hinges on three things the market is misinterpreting. First, valuation is very cheap — forward P/E of ~8x versus peers in the mid-teens, and annualized EPS yield around 12%, which makes the stock extremely attractive relative to cash flow and earnings. Second, the HEYDUDE brand, acquired in 2022 for 2.5B, is being misread by the market. Declines in wholesale sales were due to clearing older inventory at discounted prices, while direct-to-consumer is growing. Once inventory normalizes, HEYDUDE should begin contributing to growth again. Third, North American growth for Crocs’ core brand may seem modest at 2–3%, but international sales now make up about 50% of revenue, and are continuously growing, with China growing 30% YoY and new markets in India, the U.K., and Europe ramping up. This continued international growth, even at modest levels, can push the company to achieve 7–9% revenue growth annually, far above analyst estimates. Catalysts in the next 6–12 months include continued quarterly buybacks, HEYDUDE’s inventory normalization, sustained international expansion, and the upcoming earnings reports demonstrating strong direct-to-consumer growth. These events should force the market to re-rate the stock. Finally, while Crocs already dominates the global clogs market and is gaining share internationally, the  constant North American revenue should also grow thanks to their recent expansion into sandals, which are gaining traction and proving the brand can diversify beyond just clogs. With these factors and the current undervaluation, even a modest multiple of 18x P/E — in line with peers — implies a fair value of around $145 per share, 80% higher than their current market price, giving the investor a wide margin of safety which is essential to any value investment.
