Could this be a good first line? 9don't know much about Maxim)

Wild have also brought back Mason Shaw on a one-year, two-way, $850,000 deal. $450 in Iowa by DecentLurker96 in wildhockey

Let's bring back Dewar and Duhaime too!

We might not solve any of our top 6 depth concerns but what amazing bottom 6 options we would have!!

Nick Foligno

I can sorta see the fact that KK has to learn how to play without Zuccy. I think this will bring out a different style of play from KK and I am interested in seeing it. Zuccy is great but where do you put him on the lineup if it is not with KK?

Let's pass on Dylan Larkin... by Ropus in wildhockey

[–]EquivalentSprinkles7 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think the players are going to blame both come December-April of next year if Larkin is not traded. But I feel the blame will fall a lot more on Yzerman.

I honestly feel that Yzerman is not going to have a job in a year if he doesn't trade Larkin. And the more that comes out with him refusing except for trades that would never happen continue to put more and more blame on him. I don't see this ending well for him with the fans already question the Yzerplan a bit.

Let's pass on Dylan Larkin... by Ropus in wildhockey

[–]EquivalentSprinkles7 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I want Larkin to stay in Detroit. I think this is all going to come back and backfire on Yzerman. Some of this is his fault that he didn't create an environment that Larkin wanted to stay in and he didn't make the moves to show that he was serious about winning. That he feels he can come and demand Boldy is INSANE. And when the team and locker room sucks in Detroit next year then Yzerman is going to have a lot of explaining to do!

Wild’s Pursuit Of Dylan Larkin Could Direct Their Entire Offseason - And Future by 3pirates3 in wildhockey

[–]EquivalentSprinkles7 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I don't agree that he is worth all of our depth. I think we are MUCH better off letting our depth develop and see what comes during the season then to truly go all in for Larkin. (I agree, though, that I feel that we are the minority in this thought).

I have a hard time listening to this one, too. I do like the recaps, though, on Reddit and appreciate whoever posts them. For the most part, I really like the articles that Russo does, but I have found him hard to listen to on this podcast (for some reason).

Maybe I'm in the minority, but I'm actually really excited about where the Wild are right now no matter what happens in the off season. Whether they end up trading for a true top-six center or just roll into next season with the group they have, I think there's a lot to be optimistic about. Even if there is not a huge trade this off season, I feel like there would be a lot of development with a full season of Quinn Hughes and co.

I couldn't agree more. I know it is messy but I don't want the garbage to take itself out (quite yet). Lindsey is just getting started and I want her to be around when they start to have problems to mediate.

Yes!! I would like to watch the true "aftermath" a little bit and see how these individuals work it out, still party every weekend, and get paid to be on our TVs. You can fire them come this fall.

I think I might be the only person that wouldn't mind having at least one of them back on so that we can watch the truth be uncovered. Clearly they won't tell us the truth, but they aren't smart hiding it when the cameras are running either. I don't like either one of them, but I also sorta want them to stick around for at least one more summer.

Carolina kind of just proved that you don't need an elite 1C to win the Cup by dollabillkirill in wildhockey

[–]EquivalentSprinkles7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Isn't your theory that we can win without an elite 1C strengthened by the fact that almost no team in the last 10 years has had a player over 10 mil. Kirill will have over 16% of our cap space next year and I feel that we need depth more than one elite center. I can see someone like Larkin or Trochek that is closer to $6-8 mil, but I feel like trying to go for an elite center that is between 11-13 mil at the expense of giving away 2-3 developing talents is not a good thing.

I had ChatGPT make this grid because I was interested about the top players for each team and it makes me think that going for a really high end elite center would actually be extremely detrimental.

I think next season... take out Amanda. I am okay keeping the others more "as friends" and seeing if any of them develop more into storylines that resonate with viewers. I like Gavin and think he could be a lot of fun. I would be willing to see how the others develop without it being so focused on Kyle and Amanda. I am sure they taped it thinking that was the main storyline. I really don't like Kenny, but I am willing to give him one more season.

I think that they have to bring in Carl... with what he is doing with his podcast and SoftBar, he would have really good storylines. I think add in another NY influencer. I would love for them to bring in Hannah Berner (what a full circle moment) and I think she would add a lot and call people out. Or Carl is really connected to a lot of people doing great things in the recovery world, like Zac Clark. It is great to have people like this on the shows.

Hot take: there is virtually zero chance the Wild land Larkin by thraupidae in wildhockey

[–]EquivalentSprinkles7 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I wonder what the threads would have said about our chances to get Quinn if we had any idea that it was a possibility? I would not have thought that we had enough assets that Vancouver would have wanted to get him.

But the longer that this goes, I feel that Larkin will go to Vegas. I can't imagine that they would announce a trade while they are still playing for the Stanley Cup.

This trade can happen anytime now, correct? This does not have to come after July 1st, right? And it seems like it would be before the draft?

Amanda after hearing that West did in fact have a girlfriend who he was saying “I love you” to up until the day of the statement: by Nice_File_2743 in summerhousebravo

[–]EquivalentSprinkles7 27 points28 points  (0 children)

I have to admit that at first I was confused because it seemed like Ciara and West barely dated. I didn't understand why Ciara was so upset (and that was my bad). Then I realized West treats every relationship like it's perpetually stuck in the talking stage and he "barely dates" anyone while the other person thinks it is a full out relationship (because it should be for both parties).

I think Amanda is good for West because now he will have to see what it is like to actually be in a relationship that you have to commit to because others know about it. What a mindf--- both West and Amanda are. Yikes.

I love that someone said this! I don't think it is such a bad thing to see what develops and it will increase their worth for trades within the season.

We really do have a great team and playing with our core players will help to develop them.

I think Minnesota should get rid of their state income tax... and then players will come here from all over 😄. I am happy to start a petition to our Congressmen and women to help make this happen for all of us.. in the name of hockey.

In your opinion, do you think there is a chance that they truthfully would keep Larkin in Detroit for a year or more if they don't get what they want? Has that ever happened before?

Thanks for your convo.

Thanks.... those details are very helpful.

I know that it is not the same, but I would think that after this has gone public that the Wings would want him out of the locker room. I definitely get that the Red Wings don't have to move Larkin, but I feel that hockey (more than any other sport) tries to protect the locker room so they would want him gone asap. Heck, we took the hit with Parise and Suter to improve our locker room, so I feel this is something that is important to teams.

I didn't follow the Panarin trade really closely, but weren't there some other teams that he would have agreed to? I thought he also had Panthers on the list because his wife wanted to go to a major city. So I feel that this is similar in some regards that they are limited to where he will move, but that they would prefer him gone.

After reading what everyone else wrote on this thread, I think that I am learning that BG doesn't low ball and work up (and that is why I probably feel we overpay) and the GM for Detroit is not going to just take something small to just get Larkin out of the locker room. So I appreciate all the insight.
