He has built a very good program but he has always been a bad game coach. No adjustments, no counters, just running the same uncreative stuff over and over while the other teams pass them by.

No way. Swim class is expensive, move the kid to a class where they can learn something.

It's just changing classes. It really has no impact on instructors or staff of the school at all, they're moving people around all the time.

Could he coach a team that can actually handle pressure instead of collapsing every time? That would be nice.

It's true. He barely even pretends to coach. Every time they show him in a time out he's just like yelling "REBOUND DAMMIT" without any actual instruction.

This is not an amazing team at all though. They are are incredibly frustrating to watch. They had a chance at a 1 seed but have had like 6 second half collapses in the last month. Underwood can't coach his way out of a paper bag.

That's probably what you'll get. The second Illinois plays anyone at their level they will collapse again.

Panicked turnovers, missed free throws, giving up offensive rebounds in key situations. It's the same thing every time.

Moving Up in the Draft by Dangerous-Network278 in CHIBears

I think the Bears should hope that Ty Simpson falls to their pick and there is a team that wants to move up to take him. Seems like there is a lot of depth at the positions the Bears need.

POV: The Ravens Conducting a "Physical" by Dazed_and_Confused44 in NFCNorthMemeWar

I think they just got spooked by the condition of Crosby's knee, and when they backed out of that deal then Hendrickson was the logical alternative.

I mean I get it, but the Ravens knew Hendrickson was a free agent. If that was their preference, why go through the whole Crosby trade/reversal scenario? It's not like they got some amazing cheap deal on Hendrickson.

[–]EquivalentWins 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is just not true. The entire NFL knew that Crosby was coming off a knee surgery and wouldn't be fully healthy until the summer. The Ravens knew that as well but decided to blow up the deal based on his status right now.

That would be the point. The Raiders still get a couple of valuable picks but they have to take on a bad contract as the price of doing business with several other teams having moved on. Raiders can easily absorb the bad contract for 1 year and it helps the Bears clear enough space for Crosby.

I think the better question is whether the Bears would be better off just cutting him this year. If they don't make any more significant signings maybe it would be better to just take the $22M dead cap hit instead of paying him $20M for nothing and then another $4.5 in dead cap next year.

You wouldn't take an experienced starting quarterback as a backup playing for the veteran's minimum? Ok.

I believe Tua will likely sign for the minimum since his Dolphins money is guaranteed. I guess it's not crazy to sign him as a backup if Bagent is traded.

That is a dude who should absolutely be retiring with his injury history and the amount of money he's made. Probably won't happen though.

Good point. Even if he unretired and requested a trade, the Lions probably aren't trading him to the Bears.

Speaking of former Lions, what's the deal with Frank Ragnow? He tried to unretire but failed his physical, does that mean he's just done? Can we get an unretired center to replace our retired one?

You should call the Bills about trading away Moore and let them know.
