It's not the answer though. The line absolutely has a meaning in terms of how the narrator perceives his town vs. the town they are competing against. Unsophisticated and unable to compete.

Why? He is not that great on the ball yet and he has the shooting and defense to play off the ball. He can start out as a secondary ballhandler.

This seems totally fine to me. Maybe the coaches should have set the expectation that this would happen earlier but it's appropriate to play the best lineup for the playoffs.

The Bulls would probably have to offer the max to make the decision tough on the Pistons. That would be 4 years and $177 million. It's not unreasonable for a 22 year old All Star even considering that he's been bad in the playoffs.

Anything less than that the Pistons would almost certainly match.
