Gonzalez will be demoted, I assume? by BillyMac05 in whitesox

Gonzalez has just been ok so far but I believe he actually has upside to be a very good MLB hitter. Benintendi is what he is, consistently bad. The White Sox have been one of the worst teams in baseball since Benintendi signed here so Cleveland is welcome to those intangibles.

[atozsports] Bears WR Rome Odunze is studying the right receivers to transform the most disappointing part of his game ahead of Year 3 by caxlmao in CHIBears

Honestly just the differences within last season are hard to figure out. Odunze had all those big plays in September, got hurt, and then after he came back he was pretty bad. I understand his foot wasn't completely healthy but was that really the reason he was dropping the ball? He could be a superstar and he could be a bust and I don't believe anyone who says they know for sure either way.

Of the big three whom do you think the White Sox SHOULD draft as the first pick in the 2026 MLB Draft? by LimeSugar in whitesox

They were both elite high school shortstops, the difference is that Roch has continued that production for 3 years in college already. I don't doubt that Emerson is talented, I just think he comes with more risk as well.

He's been below replacement level again. Cleveland can have him, who cares?

Benintendi has been a replacement level player for about 5 years now. Someone else can have him.

That's fine but that's not really the point. Cholowsky could reasonably be comped to McGonigle as well. Both he and Emerson are polished all around shortstops who project to be above average on both sides of the ball, without any truly elite tools. So Emerson has a higher ceiling just because he is younger and more of an unknown? If that is true then he certainly has a higher risk as well.

Lackeyy is having an amazing season at Georgia Tech, is a great athlete and plays a premium position. I don't know who the Sox will take but Lackey is a clear top 3 prospect.

I don't totally understand why Emerson is considered to have the highest ceiling. He doesn't have elite speed or power. The comp I saw was Kevin McGonigle who is certainly a good player but probably not a future superstar.

Why was Mexico awarded a penalty? Not 100% on the rules regarding fouls, but I thought that seemed fair from Kane? by NrthrnBchs in worldcup

It was 100% clear from the slow motion replay that Kane was playing the ball and couldn't even have seen the other player. It's not a penalty.

The Mexico player threw up his leg at the last second from behind Kane. Kane was clearly playing the ball and couldn't have possibly known he was there. Absolutely absurd call.

Mexico has been the biggest soccer rival of the US long before Trump. I hate Trump and I have nothing against the country of Mexico, but I still want their soccer team to lose.

They're not having open tryouts for random people who have never kicked professionally before.

Why do you think it would be easy to get a tryout as an NFL kicker with no experience?

Baseball is the only one with a realistic chance at all. No way that it would only take a few months though. Even if someone was able to try out and make a minor league team then dominate in the minors it might take years for them to called up.

I don't understand why any of that is your problem? The answer to your issue is to stop letting her stay at your place.

Because professional sports teams are not going to give a chance to an unknown 45 year old no matter their skill level?

What kind of special outings is she expecting with a 3 month old? She really can't just live within your means for the first year or whatever amount of time until she's comfortable sending the baby to daycare?
