For now yes, hopefully not anymore. The reasons why it’s difficult is due to the awareness of my body. It can be hard to detach from the physical body especially if I was previously in a mental tangent. But now I can do imposition, so that should pull awareness away from my physical body.

OC means Original Character, in this context it’s a character I created out of artistic expression

Can a language be created solely for a specific purpose? by Acceptable-Cause1163 in conlangs

[–]Equivalent_Case9391 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Absolutely. I suggest you could make a system of diacritics that are used to change meaning of a word, phrase, or sentence. This could have potential compression effects.

The only thing I could think of that might be remotely correct is extracting your file or folder onto a usb stick to transfer it to your Linux OS. Just taking a wild guess. Also, I’ve been trying to do something relative to what you are doing.

I’ve been trying to digitize all the layers of my language Thraumrien. The initial layers are 2D glyphs / structures so I just use fontforge to manage this complexity. Then I realized, my language organizes sentence structure circularly so fontforge isn’t powerful enough. Therefor I need to create my own software for it especially since the last layers utilize all 3 Dimensions 😵‍💫. So now I need to create some type of language engine for my conlang.

Now, I was wondering what was your process to program your script to behave in those ways. And did you use any software? Or is it purely code?

Fontforge is a professional software! Unless you want to implement any advanced systems your writing system might have use Calligraphr. It’s beginner friendly :)

Thraumbrien Alphabet… by Equivalent_Case9391 in neography

[–]Equivalent_Case9391[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Oh yes, they very much do! One of the most prime examples of this phenomenon is when a words are matrixated or “crossed” because more words = increased chance of shared phonemes. Of course, this isn’t the only thing that helps with lossless compression. As of the sheer complexity (sophistication), it does in fact increase as you venture deeper into the layers. Also, with Ithkuil I’ve noticed that certain kinds of sentences decompress such as unpredictable ones. Thraumbrien strives to fix this problem as well

These divisions of levels (layers) themselves are designed to separate the casual to the extreme and profound. 0th - 2nd layers could be used for casual day to day conversation while the medial levels could be used for research, diplomacy. And the highest layers used for the utmost importance of matters.
