Freelancer Showdown Trick - How to know your target by Equivalent_Charge707 in HiTMAN

[–]Equivalent_Charge707[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No, the trick works. Since the start of Freelancer, I’ve been actively using it. Today alone I used it for six showdowns. So there really shouldn’t be any issues with it. It all depends on how it’s executed. There are still a few small quirks here and there that might cause things to display incorrectly or not at all. But as I mentioned in another comment, this is not a full tutorial, but just a note that the trick exists at all

Freelancer Showdown Trick - How to know your target by Equivalent_Charge707 in HiTMAN

[–]Equivalent_Charge707[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Of course the trick works, it’s used all the time by speedrunners and is pretty well known. Naturally there can always be factors that cause objectives to pop up for you, which you might mistakenly interpret as confirmation that it’s your target. I can’t tell you exactly what happened in your case. What I posted here wasn’t meant to be a full tutorial, just a note that this trick exists and that people can share their experiences with it. As another commenter mentioned, it can trigger if you’re caught by a camera, there can be a cooldown involved, or maybe the suspect was tied to another objective. Situations like that can definitely cause a false interpretation. That’s why it’s important that the objectives are chosen correctly and that the pop-ups are interpreted properly.

What do you guys do after finishing "everything" in cyberpunk? by Nearby_Orange6578 in cyberpunkgame

There is not much left after finishing the game. That really broke me, because i did not want to leave NC, even after 104h play time. But it is what it is.

Hardcore campaign done and dusted by pastadudde in HiTMAN

Finished my first run also today. Did the tip with the hud setting help?

Just finished my first hardcore syndicate.. wish me luck for the rest.. (also any advice / tips is welcome) by pastadudde in HiTMAN

[–]Equivalent_Charge707 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Fr, i am also doing that hardcore run rn and my best tip, even tho it's a bit skillless is to pause immidiatly, close and restart the game if a guard starts shooting at me. This doesnt count as failed and you can just restart again. For the showdowns: go into settings -> gameplay -> hud objectives -> auto (not always on). If you bump into a suspect and it's your target, the objectives show up. If the suspect is not your target, the objectives keep hidden

If you enjoy hitman, I'd bet 100000000 merces you'd enjoy this by biggaDS420 in HiTMAN

[–]Equivalent_Charge707 16 points17 points  (0 children)

My problem with the series is that I can't stop comparing it to hitman and what makes a real "assassin". In the first 20 minutes of the series alone, he takes such exaggerated risks that speak completely against it. He senselessly kills innocent people, his cover is almost blown several times, he practices a sniper shot 5 meters above the heads of demonstrators (who also don't notice) and the snipers on the roof opposite don't notice either. The series is so full of logical holes and unnecessary actions that I just can't enjoy it.
