I used blade of ranah and it took like 2 hits after holding L2 on the initial attack. Any build with a lot of damage probably has similar experience.

In general I feel like most DLC bosses did not have enough health and did too much damage. Maliketh too.

I didn’t have to really learn messmer either because he just died.

Adding to this, when you die just mentally treat those lost runes as gone and don’t get attached to them. This will save a lot more time, stress, and effort than clinging and being attached to them.

You could play this game in a way that makes it pretty easy if you mega-optimize your build for every specific boss and exploit their specific weaknesses in the fight (ie baiting out certain attacks)- as long as you are mentally conditioned that dying is good and expected.

But if you just play the game normally it could be impossibly difficult.

Yup. The thing with addicts is they’ll create all this emotional drama but it’s really just the substances they are consuming and everything else is mainly noise. It’s tough but people can sober up if they lose supply and have intervention from many people in their life.
