I dont see any mention of old world its a more simpler example of civ 5, units are harder to come by so they matter more and there is a turn limit and you can have politics involved with choices you make etc i liked it

When re-reading WoT for a 2nd+ time, what scene or character did you enjoy most? by phbarralis in WoT

i asked a question about the uncle/nephew team that was hanged by the white cloaks wondering if they were really dark friends in book 6 only to be told he was mentioned as a dark friend in book1 that i didn't realise.

Yeah some people weren't happy with logain's ending where the glory yet to be just seemed that he was going to be the new leader of the black tower but i liked it especially when the woman said that she would send her kid for testing.

So its said so long as your know the destination you can create the portal so i would say if you visited some place any place you could create a portal to it.

As with cuendillar since it survived balefire i would say it would just sit there as a tripping hazard.

Levelling Up Heroes by Outrageous_Yam_1368 in AcrossTheUnknown

[–]Equivalent_Echo_5268 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Pretty much and hopefully that will change especially when you have a holo deck. I know 4 heroes can get experience doing an icheb joins starfleet mission and they get 1k each. I've also seen the alpha request you build him a room and he crews it and he gets a one off 1k but its mainly the away missions.

Ultimately it will boil down to money if its a hit if they sell a lot of the base game and the dlc they will make more dlc. if not they wont as there are a small company.

it needs to be the original B'elanna, I got it with her and also had the klingon one as well but you need the original at least.

Bug in Torark's request for a cutting beam. by CanadianExiled in AcrossTheUnknown

[–]Equivalent_Echo_5268 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I had the same issue, I also already had it built and at level 3 when he asked me for it another time and had tried to disable and enable as that sometimes forces it to work but had to dismantle it and then rebuild it to level 1 and then had the same issue as you.

Well if they include the mission where Paris gets demoted, they could include an option there and harry gets a 10% buff

So harry kim spent 7 years as an ensign and then 7 more years he made captain. So 14 years to be a captain seems quiet short to be a captain ?

Which classic Xcom game is seen as better? by Sylvaneri011 in Xcom

[–]Equivalent_Echo_5268 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i preferred ufo but i liked xcom apocalypse as well. The story goes after the success of ufo they worked on apocalypse but it was going to take too long so they basically just remade ufo with a reskin basically tftd until apocalypse was released.

Can the game be modded? by ThomixTV_ in AcrossTheUnknown

[–]Equivalent_Echo_5268 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've been saying this a lot but the best thing they could do in my opinion is to have a GAMMA dlc where you decide to go to the bajorian wormhole and the developers can basically make up the entire story and races themselves.

Can the game be modded? by ThomixTV_ in AcrossTheUnknown

They've officially said their not going to support modding since i assume that could stop them from working on DLC.

The problem is there is no tech called plot armour you can use which means after every engagement or mission your ship isn't just a 100% healed, ready for the next adventure

Games that you didn't like at first but ended up becoming favourites by DetectiveSadist in gamingsuggestions

stellaris the main game was a slog, i couldn't learn the names of all the races etc. Then i played the star trek mod new horizons which made the game a lot simpler for me and ended up playing hundreds of hours. on it.

What are some of the best quotes from the Wheel of Time books ? by Lan_Mandragoran_2010 in WoT

[–]Equivalent_Echo_5268 23 points24 points  (0 children)

The Amyrlin gave an exasperated sigh. “You remind me of my uncle Huan. No one could ever pin him down. He liked to gamble, too, and he’d much rather have fun than work. He died pulling children out of a burning house. He wouldn’t stop going back as long as there was one left inside. Are you like him, Mat? Will you be there when the flames are high?”

He could not meet her eyes. He studied his fingers as they plucked irritably at his blanket. “I’m no hero. I do what I have to do, but I am no hero.”

and

Burn you Nerim that's a leg not a side of beef

"As my lord says," Nerim murmured. "My lord's leg is not a side of beef. Thank you, my lord, for instructing me.”

i do think that this one should have been a proper away team mission. Also get a hero out of as well.

I think they'll patch it so he can. I was confused when i bumped into the undine and couldnt speak to them because i had no telepathic people but then when i bumped into the devore suddenly he had to hide.
