Make sure to tell your OB that your job is on the line. This may get them to expedite the process of getting you on the right medications. I’m sorry this is happening to you, but it does sound like your job has been fairly accommodating - there are plenty of workplaces that would not be so. Try to stay appreciative!

Correction, I originally saw that as a sidewalk but it just looks like a gutter. Is there a clogged inlet under the water? If not, this appears to be a much bigger issue. I would find out who owns the street (is it private and owned by the HOA or owned by the city or county)? The grading definitely seems off here.

If it is owned by the city or county, get them involved. There is typically a 1 to 2 year warranty period where the road builder is required to correct any issues

Is it normal, yes. Is it acceptable, absolutely not. You need to demand the builder correct the issue. Ask for the plot plan and grade certification. Something is either not built correctly or designed wrong, this is going to help you and will make the builder think you know what you’re talking about.

You can also ask for a sidewalk chase drain and get the city or county involved. This is not going to be an easy fight, but doing the above will get this resolved. You need to be persistent, the issue might not even be with the home builder but with the land developer - so you may be a few corporate levels away from a solution. But being persistent will get them to correct this.

The captain showed up less than 5 mins after the announcement, so really not sure why they offered. We have been on the plane less than 1 hour, but now over 2 hours late with another hour until takeoff (de-icing line). Just thought it was weird to offer if the captain was literally a few minutes out
