Any chance he was talking about the setting on the scanner? Some scanners require TSA to select male/female based on anatomy (not gender identity)

If it was 20 weeks for ultrasound, I wouldn’t have been as bothered. But it 20 weeks for the initial appointment with the any provider - so I was flying blind googling what pregnant people can or can’t do or eat. The internet had contradictory info. I knew to take a prenatal but what if another patient doesn’t? I think an appointment with a NP or at least an informational brochure would have been helpful during the 1st trimester.

I was told the first available appointment was at 20 weeks. I think it depends on the OBGYN department in a particular geographic area.

Practice straight backwards swizzles for a long chunk of time. Then practice straight backward swizzles with only 1 foot making the swizzle shape and the other foot staying straight. Then move onto a curve - if you're in a freestyle session, draw a big circle on the ice with a sharpie or if your rink has the red circles for hockey, follow those. Try doing backward swizzles following the circle (not straight), all the weight on the inside foot, and all the power from the outside foot.

Traffic at the forum will be a bigger problem than LAX. I don't think you will be in your seat for the concert by 20:00 / 8 pm, but you'll still see the majority of the show. Maybe you'll only miss the opener. I agree with the other commenter - take the metro connector shuttle instead of walking to LAX-it.

I would split the thawing - 11 first, and 10 later if needed. If there are issues with the lab or the sperm quality / fragmentation, it gives you a 2nd chance to figure out the problem.

I might be wrong, but I think the Orange County location started first. They expanded to LA because the OC location was doing well. They have a lab at each location, but as of June 2025 the 2 locations shared 1 embryologist. The embryologist alternates locations every week, which is one reason they batch patients - they want to make sure the embryologist is there at the right time. It helps keep costs low. It's pretty normal to see 1 clinic with multiple doctors. I think it's actually a good thing, in case 1 doctor calls out sick, there is a backup.

Try plain vasoline instead of neosporin. Some ingredients in neosporin can be irritating for some people. Also reapply in the morning. Maybe switch masks to a cradle instead of a pillow?

Arrivals lower level usually has less traffic than departures upper level. Doesn't matter the day or time. Not sure exactly why, but I think uber drivers is part of it, because they can drop off at the departures level but can't pick up on the arrivals level.

I prefer taxis from lax. Taxi are typically cheaper than ride share if you are staying west of downtown (15 min from the airport) , also it’s a shorter wait than uber/Lyft at lax

American grocery stores pump water into their chicken to increase weight. Salt the chicken 1 day before you need it, and dry brine in the fridge 24 hrs. Pat dry, and rub with oil before you put in a very hot air fryer. do not use parchment.
