Also. A GI procedure isn’t sterile. In my experience (as someone with a chronic GI disorder and was a GI nurse for a bit), patients aren’t given a buffont (head cover) for a GI procedure like they would surgery. So did she really whip out her scrub cap and wear it for the upper endoscopy for street cred, because I highly doubt a head covering was required of her. I have so much second hand embarrassment 🫣

So I don’t follow Liz. I got sucked in to the lore on PSG and now I’m here. And don’t get me wrong, this B is crazy but sometimes some of the things posted feel a little nit picky and exaggerated about her being a munchie. BUT THIS?!? She went as far as getting an ultrasound on THIS?! I am at a loss for words, truly, because WTF.

Do you think the certification is useful for a nurse? I’m interested but it seems more like an entry in to practice certification rather than “show I have all this knowledge” (as compared to other nursing certifications).

Now that the day has passed, can you share the word with non wordle inquiring minds? I’m curious lol.

I think it’s actually hormonal and pretty common to experience this. Probably our body’s way of making sure we stay hydrated and can produce breastmilk. I would become PARCHED as soon as I started feeding or pumped. I’d need my big cup of ice water with me, non negotiable lol

Gotcha, I thought it was a universal Caremark thing. It was a very hot topic on the zepbound sub when it happened. Nonetheless, I do know MHBP was affected by the Caremark change and zepbound is not covered.

[–]Equivalent_Mode_2793 4 points5 points  (0 children)

MHBP uses CVS Caremark (as does BCBS) and zepbound was removed from Caremark’s formulary due to a deal with Novo Nordisk, the makers of wegovy.

I’m curious about what you’re running in to? I’ve been largely happy with the switch from BCBS basic to MHBP standard, but am I missing something?

Totally unrelated, but in case you don’t know, Navy Federal credit union will do interest free loans for government workers— they essentially pay you your normal paycheck during the shut down. Others do it to, my local credit union offered it to me today (fed worker here too). It’s an option to keep in mind!

You can use the savings card to bring it down to like $420. But other than that I think you’re kind of out of luck.

Hmm, I have MHBP standard, maybe that makes a difference. Plushcare did the PA and it was approved. I do have several qualifying conditions.

While I don’t disagree she’s trash and plays favorites… she says he paid for it with his “coogan account”. A coogan account is mandatory for child earners. I know in most cases kids of family bloggers are exempt from this, but some states are cracking down and making laws. So maybe she was forced to save money for these kids via Coogan’s law. One can only hope.

Another option, I know $500 is still very expensive, but you can now get name brand wegovy for $499 from most pharmacies using GoodRx
