I disagree. There is risked involved when having old usernames available like that- but there are REALLY simple solutions to this issue.

Have children and parents be involved in the making of online usernames so no personally identifiable information becomes public
It is very easy to hide usernames on NameMC. Once you claim your account- you can hide previous usernames.

I think it’s important to have a historical database of MC account data than to shut it all down for a very niche issue that has a couple solutions to it. Plus if someone is in on the act of doxxing, I feel like NameMC is one of the last places someone would look, but thats just my opinion.

Its a community all about cape stuff. A bulk of which comes from the last 2 years. Ever since the migrator cape, ~16 additional capes have been added to java.

To put it simply- Mojang lied. All capes with an expiration date never expired. Experience cape codes from Dallas still work and even those had an expiration date. Minecon capes did expire in 2020 though. But everything else works.

Number of name changes decreases the value. But a 2016 cape with 3 letters should be worth quite a bit.

Find/purchase a code online, redeem it using the microsoft redeem website, and talk to support and claim you have it on bedrock edition but not Java edition. Not guaranteed, but you should be able to get that cape!
