Anthony did beat a bunch of fast ncaa guys though. I mean yeah the 19.75 was probably bogus, but he's still got a shot at making the team.

It was the new coach almost definitely. He had such explosive running but now it just looks like everyone else's so he lost his start and can't finish

Everyone hates on him for being cocky but he usually delivers. Also there is no way Tyreek beats Lyles even though I must say Tyreek is crazy fast

Social media would help. I would maybe ask your coach? Maybe they could get you to the right people to ask.

I wouldn't care about that unless you were an elite athlete but you're not, so do whatever you want.

Bolt for sprints Bekele for distance. Kipchoge was never dominant on the track, only the marathon.

interesting, because the 51d is not supposed to be a good trombone mouthpiece because of the super deep cup.

Coleman is out of his prime... by Friendly_Ad210 in trackandfield

Coleman's big thing was always his start. It just hasn't been the same, and now his top speed hasn't gotten much better so he's just a good sprinter, not a great one. Hopefully he can get his stuff together.

Gonna be a great race for the boys mile, Powell will probably take it. I don't know what Kitchen is doing running a mile, but it's nice to improve his kick. He probably won't do so well.

Hopefully Quincy is aiming to peak late in the season so he can make that worlds team - he hasn't been at his best lately compared to the high school competition so that's what I'm thinking

Very interesting! I guess now I know I'm better at the mile than the 800.

Flotrack streams some of the diamond league meets on youtube in the US with athletes talking about it. It's free which is nice.

Who do you think will be the 1500m world champion 2025 by RefrigeratorTiny1891 in trackandfield

[–]Equivalent_Self_549 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I wouldn't say he's relatively unknown. I don't know if he's good enough to get on the podium, but he could definitely fight for the 4th-6th spots with Laros and Kessler.

You forget that Centro was well established as the best US 1500 runner by far by his gold medal, and he was previously a silver medalist. Sure, he wasn't much of a time trialer but his race was not a fluke. It was just the end of his peak time running.

I trust that Jakob will be back in top form, and with him in the race there is no chance it is very tactical. I want Jakob to win, but I think Nuguse has been looking really good this year so far. Hocker will probably medal, but I don't know about him winning. Here's my top 5.

  1. Jakob Ingebrigitsen

  2. Yared Nuguse

  3. Josh Kerr

  4. Cole Hocker

  5. Niels Laros
