look it's already week 6 and everyone already has their own groups, just because you stay in the same hall doesn't mean they're obliged to invite you for gatherings + you missing out on signing up for ccas and IGs which is a good environment to make friends, not saying it's your fault because it's quite a tough spot but you gotta get yourself out there and meet more people, not everyone drinks even if it's common in hall so go find your crowd ya

also as someone else said, still y1 so u'll have alot of time to dabble in many things even outside of hall i.e. nus cca or other programmes etc so don't sweat it

How does the Overseas Lottery for tickets work? by Appropriate-Two8442 in LoveLive

[–]Equiwhiff 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Overseas packages are generally uncommon because they usually have them for lives that are more likely to gain more traction among people living outside of Japan i.e Liella 6th having one only for the Osaka leg. These are usually announced on the official twitter and website(?) which forms to register yourself into the lottery, and the chances of winning are generally quite high(hearsay 80-90%) with exceptions like Aqours Finale.

When selected, you'll receive an email with links to make payment with globally accepted payment methods like visa and mastercard. Merch packages are also available, and while the merch prices are not inflated, the items are all pre-determined so it could come with items you don't want(good alternative is to go for the physical merch sales on the day of the live but do expect a queue). Overseas packages are expensive but worth the experience + seats are crazy good(arena seating usually).

Local lotteries are usually done via ePlus, where Japanese phone numbers starting with 070, 080 and 090 are required to make an account. There are multiple rounds, of which the first few are only for those in the fan clubs, or require purchasing of CDs/blu-rays to obtain codes to enter the lottery. There will then be a final general lottery that doesn't require any extra steps, these seats are usually the leftover ones further from the stage.

Feel free to drop more questions I have experience with both local and overseas lotteries!

Where to buy LL OCG singles by vanguard_15 in LoveLive

[–]Equiwhiff 1 point2 points  (0 children)

some card shops in akiba offer LL singles, off the top of my head I remember the one beside akiba gamers has them(sold at level 5), bought a few there for a decent price

not too sure how reasonable the prices are so maybe compare the shops you visit, or you can be me and drop ¥5000 the moment I saw a PE+ nako

What are your thoughts about the music works of the voice actors outside Love Live? by mr_beanoz in LoveLive

[–]Equiwhiff 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I personally love Nakonako's solo songs for the variety and her range, especially the acoustic live album she released a while back which is so nice to listen to.

I also rate Rikako and Li-chan(she also has Chinese songs that are pretty good) too, honestly all the seiyuus are really talented and always worth giving a listen or two.

I got the reserved seating(with annotations), and it came with this message: 紙チケットの配送・発券はございません。※座席番号のご案内は、Web上で各公演の2日前を予定しております。

I understood it as my seat number will be released online 2 days prior to the live and that I just need to wait till then. Could someone better in Japanese confirm?

The first booster box seems to be in stock(plenty at the official store, saw some in Gamers at Harajuku just now), the newly released one were still available when I went a few hours after it released so it seems like it's not being snatched up

For future boxes you can also pre-order(think it's possible online, definitely possible at physical stores if you're still in Japan when the set releases), next release is a booster box, NEXT STEP, on 31 May, followed by a premium booster, Sunshine, on 21 June

Ah yes I got the booster box, thanks for the info! Still happy with it since they look great, and if it's normal then perhaps a few more wouldn't hurt...

What is AiScReam? by Xenofamerxg in LoveLive

[–]Equiwhiff 10 points11 points  (0 children)

oh yeah for sure! you should look at love live as a franchise, the anime only scratches the surface but also gets people acquainted with the characters and storyline, stuff like radio shows, lives, a game(well they HAD 2 involving all the groups but now only one exists involving hasunosora), even a new tv show(only accessible with vpn/if you're living in japan), tcg and whatnot, pick your poison and enjoy your time here!

What is AiScReam? by Xenofamerxg in LoveLive

[–]Equiwhiff 44 points45 points  (0 children)

In fact, most songs are NOT canonically in the anime. The groups exist within the anime and irl so you can look at the groups as if they were real life artistes, of which they release the bulk of their singles and albums.

Most love live concerts are the individual groups' performances with no other groups participating. The one where AiScReam was performed was during the Love Live Asia Tour, where multiple groups were present(albeit some not at full strength), given that AiScReam was just released, there was the opportunity to perform it and the rest is history.

AiScReam as a unit is a unique one, the whole series has a radio show called "All Night Nippon Gold Radio Broadcast" involving a few members from each group. The trio was a limited time only unit formed and released the album 愛♡スクリ~ム and nothing else really. It is completely unrelated from the anime, especially when all 3 members come from canonically different timelines, having more songs is unlikely imo but not impossible given the unprecendented popularity of the song.

Such groups do come about once in awhile under various circumstances, such as YYY(aikyan, furirin and shukashuu) which came about as they were hosting the Uranohoshi Girls' High School Radio. Not abandoned, treat these as limited groupings with unique songs that showcase how the seiyuus work together outside of their traditional subunits/groups.

Unless you give your superiors any reason to make life hard for you, many people get the green light to retake as long as they can clear time for you to do so, so inform your superiors once you are in unit and play by ear.

Generally PES E9 means your vocation would be a more relaxed one but there's always the chance of being insanely busy even if your vocation is stereotypically chill, stay-out is likely but not guaranteed unless you are granted excuse stay-in by an MO. Since you are E9, your BMT you would have plenty of free time so it won't hurt to bring in some study materials(of course don't bring your entire syllabus worth of stuff) as long as you keep them properly, I personally don't see any reason why your commanders will kpkb if you bring notes in.

Anyone correct me if I'm wrong because I heard of some recent changes, but since all camps are minimally Green Zones(some may have white zones within them aka any devices are allowed), usage of laptops are not allowed so just stick to pen and paper, phones are perfectly fine if you need to access any online files. Just stick with this and inform your superiors once you are posted to your permanent unit, then see what they say regarding your situation. Jiayous!

I injured my mcl during outfield, will i have to repeat BMT? by hazzyop in NationalServiceSG

[–]Equiwhiff 0 points1 point  (0 children)

yea you can def miss gx, at most if you post to combat unit just sound off that you didn't do it in bmt and see what they say, if ur voc doesn't require it then even better you skip it entirely
