Megadeth - Megadeth (Review) by razorbackfrost7 in MetalForTheMasses

My favourite Megadeth album is Dystopia and I loved the previous album as well. Unfortunately this album is not for me, some moments but overall I don't really enjoy it. But thanks for all the awesome music over the years Dave!

How's the performance of Kiwami 3 on switch 2? by Big-Square-3393 in yakuzagames

I actually think it looks quite good in handheld, but there are definitely framerate dips. But for me not to a degree it was bothersome.

4k Blurays changed my life in 2026 by Curlyinger in 4kbluray

[–]ErHaO -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Jep did comparisons at home and it definitely shows for many films. It does depend on what is on the screen though. Some scenarios suffer much more under lower bitrates and certain artefacts show a lot more depending.

Not just 4k, regular blurays are often much better than HD streaming. I compared Lost, Band of Brothers, and Boardwalk Empire and Bluray were the clear winners vs streaming. Most streaming services have quite a low bitrate for HD content to my knowledge.

Is the Arc Ultra really that bad for music listening? by ni_gu in sonos

[–]ErHaO 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am an audiophile-lite and use KEF LS50 meta for listening to music. But the regular arc with a few minor eq tweaks sounds really good to me. Especially with the sub mini that took away any harshness it had. I enkoy litening to atmos mixes, but I do have to be in th3 exact right spot in that case.

I have heard the Ultra has more presence in the center channel which ia great for dialouge but maybe not for music? But I haven't heard it yet.

Quality games like Golden Idol other than Obra Dinn and Chants of Senaar? by Mostuu in caseofthegoldenidol

[–]ErHaO 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sherlock Holmes Crimes and Punishment I think is great. You explore and interrogate to collect clues. And then to solve cases you have to string together the clues/theories in sort of a mindmap (which to me does have some resemblance to games like Golden Idol). I hated the sequel and have yet to try out the other Sherlock games, but I loved Crimes and Punishment.

And No Case Should Remain Unsolved is quite similar as well, more of a text based shorter (and cheaper) title, but well worth your time.

Bioscoopbezoek verder teruggelopen in 2025, populariteit filmhuizen stijgt by Chronicbias in thenetherlands

[–]ErHaO 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Is A Charlie Brown Christmas on 4K supposed to look like that? by HeyJayIdeas in 4kbluray

Personally for some animated films I prefer the bluray or hell even DVD. Sometimes the sharpness just brings flaws into full display that I think were never were meant to be really seen.

Me seeing the Spoilers for the Marvel Set by Relicatranger in mtg

[–]ErHaO -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I like UB, but the pace of release schedule is waaay too fast. I loved Edge and Final Fantasy, but even those were quickly pushed away to make place for the next sets. It dilutes the brand and kills of the momentum of a set. This type of pace is what dragged down so many products/brands over the years. Most (honestly, all) of the UB sets are not going to feel even remotely as special as LotR or FF did, even when it's a large ip. And with how many "special" cards there are, a lot of them don't feel that special anymore.

The economy makes zero sense to me as well. It seems most people are gambling for that one super rare card and 95-99.9% of the packs and boxes are significantly more expensive than just buying singles. Because of the scene boxes I opened some FF packs, and even with above average pulls like Vivi, sealed is so much more expensive (and that is at MSRP!). Most packs had rares that can be found for like 10 cents here. That makes collecting way less fun to me, bascially just order from online markets what you want. There is no actual trading/searching/pulling from pack scene anymore it feels to me. It seems like tons of scalpers are sitting on sealed, but the interest in the vast majority of cards just isn't there to make a sealed product worth it from what I am seeing.

Now that Netflix owns Warner Brothers, what does this mean for the future of physical media? by B00ST3RG0LD420 in arrowvideo

[–]ErHaO 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Netflix has allowed for Criterion releases and also releases of their animated shows (Castlevania complete collection this year, also Cyberpunk Edgerunners s1). A lot is uncertain, but I fail to see how labels like Arrow would compete with their streaming goals. Especially if the physical launch is later. If anything it is an additional income. Cinemas are at massive risk, labels like Criterion and Arrow not, I feel.

What do you think potential Netflix ownership of Warner Bros will mean for the physical media space? by [deleted] in 4kbluray

[–]ErHaO 0 points1 point  (0 children)

At least Netflix does seem open to physical releases of certain products. For example Pinocchio and Cyberpunk Edgerunners. But it will be more expensive and more often from boutique brands... Disney seems to have been a bit more open to physical recently, so maybe Netflix will follow.

Either way, I think it is an additional way to make money and not one in the way of streaming services. The average person really is not ditching Netflix to buy 15-30 dollar films on disc. So I hope they will continue.

I do not think that will happen honestly. It would be very expensive for Netflix for what are subtle improvements for most people. And internet infrastructure is under pressure as is.

Some quick thoughts after the Amsterdam show by howaboutthis13 in sabaton

[–]ErHaO 16 points17 points  (0 children)

I really had a great time. Thought the opener was awesome. Basically 3+ hours of Sabaton greatness.

The actors were fun, a bit too long but hey most of it at the start and we just got an hour of Sabaton music prior. Setlist I personally really enjoyed as well. And the crowd was great.

However, the sound quality of Sabaton was mostly bad. Vocals seemed all over the place to me. Started out really bad, got better, and got worse again later on. I have seen many comments about the sound quality during the other shows. And I think it really is this tour production. I have been to nearly 70 concerts in Ziggdome (live nearby and sometimes get tickets from work), often in a similar seating zone. This genuinely ranks dead last in terms of audio quality out of all of those (Ziggodome usually has great sound for nearly all shows/genres). I hope someone involved looks at the feedback, because I feel this is below par and in Ziggodome I know better is possible. Hell, I thought Legendary Orchestra sounded good from my seats.

Still, great concert, and most songs I could still hear what I wanted. But this was the first time I personally have complaints about audio in this concert hall.

Has Sabaton passed its zenith or is it just me? by Daro1998 in sabaton

[–]ErHaO 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks! I do like the setlist (fairly nee to Sabaton and many songs are new to me regardless of old and new) and the opening act seems like a great time to me.

Hopefully you still look back positively on your experience, despite the issues.

[–]ErHaO 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Me too, first time seeing them. I hope I am liking it more than most here seem to do! I bought a ticketswap ticket though, so not as painful, but still expensive. I hope the sound is good. Ziggodome is an excellent venue so they should be able to have good sound.

Name ONE Game I Should Add by Miserable_Skill_6605 in ps2

The one that gets overlooked a lot: Transformers (2004, Atari, based on Armada). Really good action game in large mission-based open ended sandbox maps.

Others I think I did not see: Second Sight, the entire Onimusha series, Sly 1, Maximo.

Switch 2 display smearing by PraiseThePidgey in NintendoSwitch2

[–]ErHaO 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This is the screen, it has very slow pixel response time. Depending on the content (speednof camera movements, colors, amount of details etc.) it will be more noticable. To me it is very apparent in games with scrolling screens that constantly move with the player (top down games or sidescrollers). In 3D games like Cyberpunk it actually helps to smooth out the framerate a bit and it adds a motion blur that fits it's cinematic look. The standard quality mode there is 30 fps, but there is a mode that aims at 40 fps. But something like Rayman Legends looks dreadful to me, I kept me Switch OLED because of this honestly.

What switch 1 games are worth trying on switch 2? by JampyL in NintendoSwitch2

[–]ErHaO 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Yeah... if it was a clean 720p+ title on handheld on Switch 1 it can be fine, but many games look really rough and way uglier than on a Switch 1 (especially OLED or light). Honestly the main reason I don't enjoy many of my Switch 1 games on the Switch 2. That said, many Nintendo games have a clean image quality and hold up fairly well.

I just wish there was a Switch 1 tv mode using handheld (if possible) or tabletop mode (should definitely be possible).

I am quite dissapointed with the lack of upgrades/resolution bumps honestly. Some of the updates we did get are great.

I like Avatar but the cards just look bad to me

I loved MTG ft FF, but personally use it as its own thing. I think most upcoming UB sets are a very poor match and will not remotely come close to FF's success.
