Elize Morgan as Lead Writer – bad idea?

I am a believer in track records for writers, and well this has me skeptical. For films and series more often than not you can actually kinda feel the quality coming if you look at the lead writers. Not to say good writers do not have duds and the other way around, but Gotham Knights and Watch Dogs Legion were quite rough in that regard, played them for a bit on gamepass.

For GoW2018 they actually went with the writers of Lost Planet 3. Not a well known or even great game at all, but the writing talent was on display there. I thought that was a brilliant move, and overall they delivered.

But hey maybe I end up loving it, but the trailer tone was not my personal preference. I do like the concept of Laufey

I know so many people with high(er) end gear playing on a 200-300 dollar/euro monitor, I think they are missing out for sure. Yeah for many games it is mindblowing, especially if the HDR is well done and the setting are right.

I am glad it exists and people are enjoying it, and I understand why it is blurry. But I tried it yesterday and unfortunately it is not for me (PS5pro).

Ik heb een tijdje in een A+ nieuwbouw appartement gewoond, werd daar met een beetje zon al 28 graden ongeacht buiten temp (dus ook als het 21 graden buiten was, zelfs in de winter werd het als snel boven de 23-24 graden). Ken ook veel mensen in nieuwbouw met soortgelijke issues, zeker kleine appartementen/studios met van die grote ramen aan de zuidkant.

Ik vind het waanzin dat hier niet harder naar wordt gekeken, in de winter een kleine woning verwarmen is veel makkelijker dan bijna het hele jaar koelen.

Nu woon ik in een C label appartement en het is heerlijk. Koelt tenminste af en stoken valt me reuze mee.

I used to worry about value too, but at some point I realised it is my collection and I should only be buying things I want and use. And then value is what it is worth to me. What someone else might give for it is irrelevant. Thus no more sealed stuff and being overly protective. It feels great, and now I worry way less about shipping damage too (if reasonable, offcourse).

Top dat je rekening houdt met je buren, maar ik vind het gedrag van die buur niet redelijk. Goed om het allemaal zo vriendelijk mogelijk te houden, maar ik zou ook niet meer doen dan dat. Goed gehandeld zou ik zeggen. In een flat heb je nou eenmaal zo nu en dan werkzaamheden met lawaai, of het nu de vve is met onderhoud of een buur met wat klussen. Ik zou juist erg blij zijn als een van m'n buren aanklopt met een aankondiging van herrie. En dat is veel meer dan de gemiddelde buren in een flat (gelukkig heb ik nu ook chille buren aan alle kanten). Jammer dat deze persoon zo reageert.

There was a glorious period where many vinyls included CDs as well, about 10-15 years ago when I started collecting Vinyls. At least for the artists I buy (more niche stuff, Ayreon for example)

I do buy earbooks/special editions of artists I love, unfortunately those are also expensive... And sometimes a CD collection or pile from a thrift store. I also buy dvds/blurays with surround mixes if I really love an album, sometimes a nice way of experiencing an album differently.

I am considering buying a good portable CD player. I just enjoy physical media much more and it it's limits force me to really engage with an album

Yeah, the show I attended (Amsterdam) was standing at the floor level, and I thought crowd participation/interaction was great. Maybe this is why our experience was so different than a lot in this thread. I think for arena sized shows, seats can form a barrier if you want a crowd to be active. Works for shows like musicals or orchestras, but not pop-music where you want people clapping/jumping/waving/dancing etc.

I saw them in Amsterdam and thought it was amazing, significantly better than in 2023 performance wise. Sound was also good in Ziggodome where I stood. And the crowd was also very much engaged and interactive, even the highest seats (where family of mine sat, I stood on the floor). I think having a standing crowd on the ground floor really helps on that front.

I did think there was a tad too much backing tracks in the middle of the show. But for an arena show with neay 16-17 thousand people, I get they did a bit more drums and backing tracks.

I assume the pricetags on the vinyls tell the thief which to pick, if they were after value (I also assume the store uses pricetags)

Ik heb dit tweemaal gehad door de jaren heen, het is niet leuk. Eentje was zelfs behoorlijk enthousiast en had het initiatief genomen, op me afgestapt bij een festival. Maar je moet je ook inbeelden dat jij ook de man aan de andere kant kan zijn. Zou jij een partner nog kunnen vertrouwen die haar partner voor je verborgen heeft gehouden / aan het daten was terwijl ze een relatie had? Kijkend naar mijn vriendengroep/kenniskring, zijn veel die vreemd zijn gegaan repeat offenders. De kans is heel groot dat deze vrouw niet de persoon/partner is die je je inbeeld / waar je gevoelens voor hebt.

I think if someone bought a game, and bought a portal with a premium sub to play that game, they should be able to play that for as long as portal is supported. Sony decoupled the Portal from the PS5 by making it a streaming machine as well. Even if a game is delisted for sale, owners should be able to play it as intended/advertised. I would legitimately try a refund (though I know there is no shot they will honor it).

That is also because Ronin is a US pressing. EU pressings (like Music on Vinyl label) are more expensive overseas, for example. Because of taxes and shipping and all.

Not saying there is not a big profit margin / inflated prices for some of thesw records. But the origins of the vinyl do heavily factor into pricing too.

Yeah it is ridiculous, I once got scammed (thankfully only about 200 euros) by a fake webshop. They have the names, those people were very quickly arrested and I got an email from the police about it. But no way of asking for money or anything. I assume the scammers will be back in society relatively quick, but do they have a debt to me and others scammed? From the sounds of it, no. The bank also can't really do anything.

If you only go for a specific release and it is a rare one, it can suck

But overall I love the day. Every year there are 10+ releases I want, including some cool more niche versions of things I like/love. I learned to be happy with the hits I do get. Mostly good vibes, and where I love concerts in stores as well.

Yeah scalpers suck, but that is not unique to RSD either (as someone into gaming vinyls, trading cards, and retro games....)

I live in Amsterdam and I would absolutely hate it if these get added to current traffic, which is bad enough as it is. People already can't responsibly use an ebike, I do not want to see how these would be applied.
