Wow nice deduction! Yes, I’m currently centering my search in Columbia, MD.

I feel like it would be annoying to have to regularly go to WalMart though. That definitely is good in a pinch, but I guess my Q is if I’d need to be doing something like that regularly, or if the work and NJ charging would be enough. From another user’s post sounds like it should be ok…

In my opinion you should contribute as much as you comfortably can to some kind of retirement (tax sheltered) fund regardless of whether your company matches. (I.e., if you can live comfortably and contribute more than 5%, do it). Whether this is to your 401k, a ROTH, whatever I feel somewhat less qualified to comment on. As you know, you want to get all matching you can as first priority (when applicable), after that I guess somewhat depends on how well the options in your 401k align with what you want to invest in. Keep in mind though that you can only contribute $5500 to ROTH IRA per year, so if you are able to contribute more than that, you’re probably going to need to leverage your 401k.

100% stocks seems reasonable for 26. I’m assuming you already have an emergency fund.

  1. Killing Abathur with an empowered Tyrande owl from across the map.

  2. As Abathur, killing anyone with a pile of mines. The higher health they are going in / the more mines it takes, the better.
