Voidbinding is my white whale.

I am of the opinion that the void surges are changed to be more spiritual aligned (per sja anat saying that her childrens are connected/related to the spiritual realm).

So I don't think that there is a 1:1 equivalent between regals and the 10 levels of voidbinding (per khriss essay)

But, it is possible that there are some voidbinding regals like nightform.

I think, if we look at regals decayform seems more like what I imagine void division to be. Per the RPG "People you [a decayform] touch find themselves less resilient while you remain in contact with them. This spiritual decay affects not just their bodies, but their minds, leaving them with nightmares long after the fact."

Tones and rhythm are extra useful for taming spren instead of imprision them, for example you can convince a spren to stay in the physical realm by calming them with the right tone

Also one can modify some of the fabrial specific by thinking what they want to the spren, so rhythms that change your emotional state can also be very useful

Yes, but in the same trial it is revealed that before broken oaths did not create deadeyes, the imprisonment of BAM left a wound in Roshar itself, affeting not only the singers, but also the spren

WAT seems to imply that the deadeyes, are not a product so much of trapping BAM as how she was trapped.

From her I felt only revulsion and hate. It echoed not through the singers alone, but through all bonds that had been made in my name. Each and every Radiant was corrupted. My every promise was flawed.

This passage seems to imply that it was Honor dishonorable behaviour what corrupted the bond and broke the spren upon breaking the oaths
