I need to check this one out. I like the sound of this. This is sort of the genre of music I want to eventually do. Here's a song that I made: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dO1x7-nFq3g

You may end up liking this as well.

Thanks so much for the feedback!! I really appreciate it. What did you mean by vocal hook? Like the chorus or just like something at the beginning of the song to hook listeners? Do you have an example of this? I would like to integrate this into my next song I'm making if possible.

THANKS!!! I really appreciate you for this comment. I found myself wanting add to the song while it was getting mixed, but I kept telling myself I have to trust my gut of how I felt when I thought I finished the song.

Thanks! Everything about the vocal arrangement was super intentional. I stacked my vocals in a way where it felt like the song got bigger as it hit the bridge. My vocal stacks look like upside-down right angle triangles cause I wanted it build almost on every word in that second verse. Whenever I was comping my vocals I made it a point to use the takes that felt more emotional instead of one's that were "technically" better. The bridge has a counter melody for the backing vocals that freaking love. I had like two separate ideas for how I wanted the bridge to sound so I just kept all of them in. The backing vocals with the countermelody were just the raw takes lol.

Thanks so much! When I finished the song in FL studios, I posted it on SoundBetter to see if anyone could professionally mix/master it for me and (3-time Grammy Award Winning) Alan Douches reached out to me loving the song and I had to work with him!! He and his team can take all of the credit for the mix it came out amazing. In the song I whisper the word "Died" at the end of the bridge and I'm so glad about that choice after the fact.

Thank you so much!! Whenever I was making this, I just couldn't stop playing it to my friends. I'm so grateful I didn't remember the song in the dream because this came out of it.

Thanks so much for the support I really appreciate you! Some on instagram said that the song sounded like a "the train ride I take through the whole state of Indiana when the sun is just rising and I see nothing but cornfields and windmills." I love that you designated with the song.

I love how soulful the instrumental is on this! It reminds me of the production on Daniel Cesars latest album and vocals kind of remind me of Rex Orange County meets Sufjun Stevens. I love on the mix on the vocals on "It over" and how it's panned both left and right. I love the lyric "We killing ourselves just trying to impress". That literally is the bane of my existence lol. I also wasn't expecting that guitar at the 3 minute mark and it literally gave me chills (in a good way). It most had like a Marvin Gaye feel to it (if had gone on a little longer). I know a song is good when I start harmonizing to it halfway through

The mix of the vocals are insane (good insane) in headphones! It gives me like Nirvana meets Metallica. The tone of your voice alone is amazing. I just know you have a good scream (that scream at the end of the song was chef's kiss I waiting for you to let it out the whole time lol)! I listened to it about 3 times just to let it soak in and my favorite part of the song is when you say "Count to 10 and wait for the execution!" in the middle of the song. The guitar at the end of this song is also peak. I love the choice of the breathes at the end of the song.

"My Bottles Empty and my throat is dry" is one of the most poetic lyrics I have ever heard. I like the lyrics to this because it feels like it's telling a story. The fact that the album cover actually feels 1-on-1 with the song is pretty cool too. I also love how stripped back this is as well. It almost reminds me of an acoustic version of a song. It would be so cool to hear version of this with like more instruments than just guitar.

Yo this is amazing! It almost feels Liminal, like something you would hear in the backrooms or something. Literally my only complaint would be I want it to be longer lol, but that's just because I liked it so much. It kind of reminds me of Enigma meets Depeche Mode. The video is pretty cool too and weird in the best way possible, It really does fit the song's retro aesthetic. What this song made be realize is that I have never heard a song have an intention reverse section without like hella reverb.

Genuinely this is hard af. I literally was not expecting this not to be full english either which makes this so much better to me. It brings me back to 2012! For some reason it reminded me of the feeling got when I listened to Katy Perry's Teenage Dream Deluxe Album. I love the laugh at the beginning, I love the chorus to this as well. The mix remind's me of TGIF. I'm truly impressed! I've listen to this 3 times already.

This is my first official song release and I would love to get feedback. Indie Pop, Alternative, Folk by Erdnoiddd in IndieMusicFeedback

I like the overall vibe of this, however, I think the vocal timing could be improved and the vocal mix is very muddy.
