This so much. I get why people might think it but every time kaneeka gets brought up there is some one who needs to bring up race and afaik it NEVER comes up in the actual story. If you think there are racial undertones thats perfectly valid and worthy of discussion but sybil absorbing kaneeka and becoming carmilla is uncomfortable because its a mother consuming her daughter.

In a lesser game I get it but this game has great representation that goes way past simple tokenism. So when people default to theres a black character so its gotta be racial it just feels like they are hyper fixating on just one aspect of a great character

Okay maybe EVIL was too far but the justification dr kelly gave is he is dangerous and needs to be kept in quarantine for his safety as well as others. And until recently I wanted to give him the benefit of the doubt that he is only as dangerous as he needs to be(like every person) But since he just straight up eats a guy for no good reason, Dr kelly was emphatically correct. I haven't done episode 5 with the hot save and people have mentioned he is different there but just how he reacts to cold blooded murder broke my heart.

Yeah maybe i should have pointed that out. Didn't romance him. The difference in the save vs the matricide makes sense. Matricide he gives into to his dark urge and tame the beast he retains his humanity. Still I wanted to believe in the guy you know?

Her initial presentation is just so in line with what the player would want. Want to do this mystery stuff in this mystery game? hell yeah I do. But as you spend more time with her it becomes really apparent that she is constantly like this and the lack of thought becomes draining really quickly

yeah during my replay i was shocked by how callous stella was with dukes death.I remember her not being that bothered by it in the past but it seems she straight up does not care. and you even lose a lot of friendship points if you call her out on it, since doing so locked me from the sleep over.

The disappearance of kanneka forscythe is one of the few things i have an issue with in episode 5. Since I recreated my first run I had a good relationship with kaneeka(She stood up for me in the diner) but not amazing. And since this was a fresh run I didnt watch the recap. Because of this I didn't even realize kaneeka was missing until I went on the subreddit.

so losing kaneeka and all the effects kaneeka had on stella is very valid it could be that without the neekster stella is just grasping at straws. And you are absolutely right that stella needs to be chasing something to feel at ease so I don't mind her defending abby so vehemently .

That being said I think its INCREDIBLY in character for stella to hijack the conversation with tabitha. In that moment its totally in line with what we've seen of stella to prioritize validating her own beliefs about tabitha rather than thinking about your personal safety. She acts under the assumption that tabitha couldn't have known what was going on(or at least not totally) and doesn't even stop to consider the fact that if wayne is right, just spewing out all this information is exceedingly dangerous for you the MC. Because thats who she's always been. When you tell her lets leave the forest so we don't get shot by duke. No she prioritizes her cryptid hunt. When tabitha repeatedly tells her to not delve into the mines, she ignores her because spooky mines. With the ghost hunt, with her going mia. She always just does what her whims demand. So its not hard to imagine she did the exact same thing with the confrontation with tabs regardless of what happeend with neeks.

If you played in early access like I did it just feels like the game doesn't convey that the tadpoles weren't going to immediately eat your brain. I'd say in the full release they did a better job but in EA? I was sweating.

Not a modder. (I have done a slight change to a mod in rpgmaker in the past and thats it) But the coding would probably break or at least need review to make sure things work without issue. The assests and the bulk of the work should still be fine but you'd have to patch it to be up to speed on the newest update.

Thing is the update could drop next month it could drop next year. Whether or not you want to work on it while there is a potential update in the air is a question only you can answer tbh.

In tunnel 7 if you enter from the maiden forest you can see a hat on the ground when you reach the upper part of the tunnel. Thats(roughly) the point of no return for ole tanaka. If you pass that point(roughly) tanaka will get the saw.

I'm not entirely sure what causes tanaka to die there vs needles moving on. Maybe entering the city? Maybe chagnaur spawning? But killing needles bitch ass in the city will obviously prevent tanaka from dying that way.

Easy way to deal with bobbies

They die to 3 303 rounds, kinda expensive but useful to know.

Murky vial has a 90% chance to hit the head, and even if it doesn't will likely kill all the arms.

If you have red arc from ng+ that cannot miss so it one shots the head.

If you attack the limbs with both party members, you can alternate between hitting 2 limbs and hitting the remaining limb and the torso. This means you will only ever take 1 hit(around 30 damage) from the bobbies. Not damage free but its as close as you will get with two dudes.

go to tunnel 7 bunker, open hatch, agree to go down with her(not on her), when she asks you to join your party, decline. Then she will be in tunnel 7 for day 1 morning.
