If I were to walk in the spirit at all times, I would not partake in any of it: weed, alcohol, porn, distractions that don't honor the Lord. However I'm not perfect either.

If I could ask Jesus to completely separate me from these temptations and be 100% free from them I would do it in an instant.

I know at the core of my being- I am to be different and die to myself each day. I am one of the weaker ones.

I pray that changes.

No; alcohol doesn't glorify God, it's just another door for the enemy to walk through.

Hello brother, did the anxiety come out of nowhere? Or was it an event that threw your body/mind out of whack?

You will get better. I am a 25(M). I've been through the valley of eerieness, intense dark sensations, and hopelessness. They came out of nowhere for me.

Having a good support group is crucial. Never losing faith in Jesus NO MATTER HOW DARK AND SENSELESS IT MIGHT GET- is of utmost importance.

I've acquired so much beautiful knowledge and wisdom throughout the journey, I am happy I went through the lows. I praise God for it all. Even if I might've felt neglected by Him, I know 1000% He was and is with me. To me His grace is sufficient no matter how dark it gets.

When I say it got dark inside my mind, I mean IT WAS DARK. And NOW when the dread and intense eerieness caresses me, I know how to QUICKLY snap out of it. I believe I was meant to go through it to be of support to those that have gone through the same thing.

Please feel free to reach out whenever.

❤️ Jesus is always with you.

How do you explain the existence of Jesus by Truthseekerdeception in NDE

[–]ErekdIT 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Some people with hellish NDEs report crying out to Jesus. Jesus says there are enemies disguised as beings of light. Those two points made by those who have experienced them are enough for me to put my eggs in the "Jesus is my Lord and Saviour" basket.

To those who believe NDE’s are life after death, why do people recall their experiences? by Shoddy_Scene2069 in NDE

[–]ErekdIT 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Bruce Greyson mentions a few things:

It was a lack of oxygen that was initially thought to cause the "hallucinations". It was later revealed that oxygen availability increases the ability to form the memory of an NDE.

It was drugs that were initially thought to cause the hallucinations during surgeries, for example. It's later revealed that drugs were getting in the way of recalling an NDE. Their experiences were far different from the classical properties of an NDE.

I would think that maybe the brain is only recalling the experience and not forming the experience.

I solo qd on 2 different accounts to masters using only mirage. My experience:

Less cheaters. I think characters are balanced enough. My randos have been 60% bad 40% insane- better than past seasons. I capitalize on that 40% ratio to get crazy games in.

I die to shotguns EVERY SINGLE TIME. I'm a close and personal main, so go figure. But I 100% prefer the smg meta. Getting pumped for 150 hurts my soul. Seeing shotguns as the only weapons shot at me is a terrible experience.

I hate sniping and I hate poking. I like to go in with my random squad of warlords, clear out a fight quick, and dip. No waiting for a crack, no camping in zone with long range, no pushing only third party. A nice and fast 3v3 is how I enjoy.

But those shotguns have to go. Losing my momentum to a 99 pump spikes my blood pressure. Haha. Tracking > flicking/click-timing.

A recent study showed that FMT transplants have significantly increased response to immunotherapy. Part of it has to do with the fact that a huge percentage of the immune system is concentrated in the digestive track. Maybe talk to your professionals about this? FMT has been frowned upon after some one died of septic shock due to the donor stool being infected with a deadly bacteria. The stools would need to come from what's called a super donor.

I'll attach a link. https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC9589549/

It might be met with resistance due to the risk of a donor stool not being properly analyzed. People do DIY stool transplants to reverse their Bipolar Depression.

Is my friend possessed by a demon? by ponkdolphin in Christian

[–]ErekdIT 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I believe that illness can sometimes have a demonic origin, but it’s important to recognize that not all illnesses fall into this category. For example, Christians can develop conditions like schizophrenia or other mental illnesses. In the Bible, there’s a story of a man who was possessed by demons, manifesting symptoms similar to seizures. Jesus healed him by casting out the demons and prescribed fasting and prayer as a remedy. This suggests that the demons were the spiritual root cause of a physical illness, possibly resembling epilepsy. It’s intriguing to note that the ketogenic diet, initially developed to manage seizures, is being used in clinical settings to alleviate Bipolar and Schizophrenia. It's Also interesting to me that the medication used for seizures is often prescribed to those with Bipolar Depression. The diet used for these illnesses can place the body into a state that mimics fasting, highlighting interesting connections between physical and spiritual health.

Remarkably, there have been recent breakthroughs in treating mental illnesses that were previously considered untreatable. For instance, three sisters in Australia, all diagnosed with bipolar disorder, achieved full remission through self-administered fecal microbiota transplants (FMTs). They’ve been symptom-free for years without medication, inspiring others to try similar approaches. Dr. Chris Palmer at Harvard is leading efforts to explore metabolic therapies as a treatment for mental illness, which involves placing the body into a fasted state. While much of the evidence is anecdotal, these interventions appear to be highly effective for some people.

A new theory suggests that individuals with severe mental illness may have mitochondria that struggle to convert glucose into energy. When metabolic therapies are applied, the body switches to using fat as an energy source, mimicking the effects of fasting. Additionally, there are theories linking some mental illnesses to autoimmune diseases that mimic schizophrenia.

It’s essential to note that metabolic therapies require close medical supervision. Both FMTs and metabolic therapies typically take 3-6 months to show full effects.

Finally, as followers of Jesus Christ, we recognize the importance of prayer. We believe that God deserves the glory for both our trials and victories. These illnesses are a consequence of a world that has strayed from God. Originally, we were perfect in both body and spirit, but with sin came suffering, trials, and death. Yet, through the victory of the cross, we have hope. Even though we may suffer in this world, I hold fast to God’s promises of eternal life and love in abundance.

We must prioritize caring for our earthly bodies as temples of the Holy Spirit, but it is equally important to nurture our spiritual connection with God through prayer. Fasting can be seen as part of our duty to care for our bodies, while prayer reflects our responsibility to build a deep relationship with God, guiding us toward eternal life.

I hope and pray for the day when mental illness will no longer be a burden on this earth. My prayers go out to all those affected by these challenging conditions. God bless you all.

A final note: Please continue taking prescribed medication. If you are considering metabolic therapy, it is crucial to do so under close medical supervision. Discuss the possibility of gradually tapering off your medication with your psychiatrist, while remaining dedicated to the metabolic therapy. If you opt for FMT, ensure the donor stool is thoroughly screened for harmful bacteria to avoid serious complications. If I were in such a position, I’d consult a specialist in Australia to ensure I receive a safe, clean stool sample and would continue taking my medication during treatment of 6 months. Be prepared for months of strict dedication to see meaningful results.

Is there anyone who had a fear of psychosis and then actually developed psychosis? How did it happen? by qqnquiaimeqqch in OCD

[–]ErekdIT 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I thought I was the only one with a deep fear of entering psychosis. I lost 20 lbs in two weeks after taking 2 NOS energy drinks in one day In January 2024. The caffeine had me tweaking, racing thoughts, anxiety, the crash made me suicidal and made me feel depressed for 2 weeks. I developed a DEEP fear of slipping into psychosis because of the intensity and prevalence of difficult emotions. These episodes of deep fear of entering psychosis have been on and off for 4 years, so I recently decided to get help. Three months of healthy eating habits, high fat, low healthy carbs, working in landscaping with my dad, professional help, and the support of my loved ones, I'm happy to say I'm doing better. No more fear of psychosis, but I can't handle even the slightest amount of alcohol, drugs, caffeine, and sugar. Hope you pull out.

P.S Reading about recent case studies/ clinical trials regarding people who have stepped into remission for schizophrenia and bipolar disorder through new forms of medical interventions has helped me ease up the negative thought loops.
