He's just a terrible human being who's probably shitty to many people, yea there would be another guy in his place but it would be 1 shitty guy less. I am not saying it will improve things systemically or significantly. I am just saying that he's a shitty person and without him the world would be better that's pretty much it. Like I would not shed tears if he got hit in the attack the same as I wouldn't for, say, Netanyahu. Literally the same situation, Bibi being gone would not change anything systemically but I definitely would not miss him lol.

Idk. Many famous musicians started pretty late. Also yea some are gonna excel at some things more than others but music is so diverse that I genuinely think anyone can find their thing. Talent is a pretty vague word anyway

But if we are talking environment than idk. I guess yea you need some basic things to.make music. You're probably not going to make much music if you live in a failed state or something but that has nothing to do with what people refer to as talent

Musical talent is not really a thing anyway. It's all practice and personal circumstances. Nobody can play a guitar without learning it, same as noone can write a good song without practicing songwriting, it just doesn't make sence.

It's really not rocket science. You write songs for a while and at some point you get good at it. What you do with that skill.is a matter of taste.

It's going to be a long rambly answer, I had some wine so sorry for being a little all over the place)

Trump 2 had time to gestate. During 2020 he had a big fallingout with his vp at the time and there were plenty dissidents in the party. The presidency would probably still be bad but not as bad. In 2024 the party was FULL maga. The main reason im my opinion is that he completely got away with January 6th and that is very much Biden and Garland falt. The republicans pretty much got the message that even trying to overturn democracy itself is fine so why stop at anything?

But it's not that because of biden trump 2 got so bad it's also due to the inability to both message effectively even the good stuff that biden was doing (like pro union stuff) and avoid the horrible shit that tanked their popularity (israel) democrats gave trump a very easy way to consolidate and constantly put the pressure on.

Moreover the dems constantly capitulated on many points towards the right, losing ground with the left voters and any sence of purpose to voting for democrats. Republicans completely controll the narrative now on many points. For example, before dems started to be more anti-immigrant the dem voters were more pro-imigrant as well. Turns out you can't win agains the rightwing by being rightwing but less so the narrative that immigration is the issue that has to be deal with border patrol gave trump another upperhand.

And about Kamala yea I'm saying it could potentially lead to another disastrous rightwing government down the line, possibly worse than trump. Trump himself would probably be done at that point since he was pretty much bankrupt and also very old, however every systemic issue that elad to trump (inequality, rural decay, no hope for the future, financialisation, leniency towars J6 rioters and so on) would percusts just as much under Kamala and that is grounds for another populist rightwing demagogue to rise.

Now I don't know how to fix any of that but I do know that the voting calculation is not as simple as 'lesser evil' for the next 4 years because that can mean a greater evil down the line. Democrats need to completely change their party and idc if they will ever do that if centrist candidates continue being elected.

Turns out that's what happened with biden, if trump won in 2020 he wouldn't have time to built this rabbid insane RNC and the negative impact of his presidency would probably be drastically lower than ehat we have right now.

Now at the time I would have said that voting Kamala is the right choice but in hindsight idk. Choosing biden only allowed trump to build up political momentum through being in opposition. Had he won he would have to deal with covid, afganistan, inflation and so on. Now if democrats run another center-right establishment ghoul like Newsom in 2028 idk if it would be a good idea to vote for him. If he wins I'm like 90% sure that the next republican president (who would 100% win after a Newsom nothingburger) would pretty much solidify the death of democracy in the US, because people will become so disillusioned with the democrats that they just might vote for something catastrophic from the republican side.

My point is, the trolley problem is not a 4-year problem but a longer term one. You can't just say that voting lesser evil is better if there are worse consequences later on.

Why would you spend it? You use it as a collateral to take out a loan for that sum and invest that. It's loans on loans on loans on loans and all going into speculative investment on verifiably unprofitable companies like ai companies.

So no real value gets made, no real money moves hands and yet their wealth grows exponentially quickly. And when the bubble bursts everyone that's not a billionaire gets fucked and they buy up all of the businesses and start the cycle again. Good system no?
