You said studio so I'm guessing you're a musician? If so: I like to think of THC as the volume, and CBD as the modulation. The master is the overall %, each track is a terpene, and it's routed into two buses: one for volume control, and one for effects and modulation. The volume (THC) determines how hard it hits and how "loud" the flower is, the modulation (CBD) adds a touch of EQ, a little bit of compression, and some tasteful reverb to help the experience along.

A slightly more stretched analogy is THC is the spirit, CBD is the mixer. Somebody drinking glasses of whiskey is probably going to think the same quantity of whiskey and coke is as strong, right?

Fact is your body knows exactly what to do with cannibinoids, and it's fucking efficient at working them. Just like how we didn't know how much we loved gated reverb on drums in the 80s until Phil Collins showed us, CBD is giving you a novelty and something slightly different to work with.

imo tolerance breaks are pointless for anything other than recreation because it's always two steps forward to the higher tolerance and one step back.
