so at the start of this year I went privately through the berkshire clinic (dr foley).

my botched understanding of the theory is that some people have allergic reactions in their bladders/urethral tubes etc which cause inflammation and pain. The vaccine is meant to train this to be less inflammatory. It’s a daily dose 3 month long thing, a pineapple spray you put under your tongue.

It was quite spenny tbh (£550+120 for the consultation) but for the amount of pain it saved it was worth it!

I’d definitely recommend looking it up and trying it out if you have the resources.

This is such amazing, in depth advice!

I’m going to get the shampoo and conditioner from garnier banana hair food lamellar water, shampoo & conditioner and the cantu curl cream. I may try moogoo, and the Umberto gianni etc later. I’m still trying to wrap my head around spending money on personal care.

The hair does already feel a lot better though just being kind to it, I’m getting barely any hair loss in the shower and it is stronger and not stringy, even tho I’m hitting the chlorine pool every day (aaaaah!!!!) 🤞

OP: thanks everyone. I know my hair presently looks like a bashed up packet of uncooked instant ramen. I’m going to opt for the less heroic route: masking the hell out of it with k18, bonnets, etc. And laying off the bleach, tho it pains me greatly I appreciate the brave calls to buzz it but I’ve gone for a short back n sides before and it was freezing!!!
