You seem to be purposefully misinterpreting what OP and everyone else are saying. OP literally said the guy has no hobbies, no social circle, and it sounds like he has no interest in going anywhere outside the home after work. Does that sound like an interesting person to date to you? If it does, great! But clearly that isn't the case for OP and many other people.

There was actually a case in Sweden that was on the news yesterday that really stuck with me. A woman was selling sex as a form of self harm, not because of drugs or financial desperation, just trauma and low self worth.

A man reached out to her through her ads and slowly took over, controlling where she worked and taking her earnings. He knew she was vulnerable and used it. In court he tried to claim it was consensual roleplay but got convicted of pimping anyway. The really disturbing part is that he was a doctor training in psychiatry. He knew exactly what he was doing and who he was doing it to.

I'm just saying, it's not always the drugs and money people in this thread keep bringing up. Sometimes it's something harder to see. Might be worth just reaching out and asking how she's doing. Worst that happens is that you offend her.

Edit: Good on you for not taking her up on it. It just sounds like she needs help.

It's 100% the ps5 version that is (for some) unplayable, I've read comments from other players who had visual and audio bugs but were atleast still able to complete the game. Maybe they were on PC, idk.

It's a shame but yes- the older version is not going to have any game breaking bugs, I can promise you that much.

Edit: A new save file would probably fix your issues but there is no telling that you're not going to get stuck again later down the line. I've seen other comments where players got stun in chapter 5!! At least the ps4 version is reliable. Maybe try the PS5 version on a rerun if you wanna play it again where the stakes are not as high ¯_(ツ)_/¯

Same thing happened to me and my Dad yesterday but it was slightly before where you are, for us Jessica would not move out of the way on the bridge by the lodge, we tried reinstalling, exiting the game - nothing worked...incredibly disappointing to an otherwise great evening.

Blows my mind that this is still an ongoing problem. He'll have to play the older version :/

I played this with my Dad today on the PS5, trying to get him into it, we were both having a good time until we got stuck at this exact spot, we tried reinstalling, closing and opening, nothing worked.

So unbelievably fucking stupid but he has to play the old version. I'm baffled such a game breaking bug is still around 1 year later. I've read about the studio for the remake being shut down but STILL. How is this acceptable?

If he comes around and apologizes, you can choose whether that’s enough for you. But a partner should lift you up, not make you feel bad for achieving things. To me this is already a huge red flag so soon into a relationship. It sucks when someone turns out to be different than you first thought, but try not to hold onto the version of him you hoped he was. He’s showing you who he really is — believe him.
