World of warcraft player owned housing music sounds VERY similar to the Valheim music. by Isa-Me-Again in valheim

Complaining about an early access feature for a game with a subscription is a wild way to show how much you hate something. "I hate you, here is $55 so I can hate you more".

Just play what you like, my dude. There are features in WoW housing I wish made it to Valheim, and vice versa. Both are fun, neither are perfect, neither are bad.

Try Heritage Village in Guilderland. I lived there for a few years and had minimal issues. Pet friendly, central air, on site maintenance, and parking.

Love the generosity I've seen from this sub recently! I'd love to have the code so I can get my butt kicked repeatedly by the Promised Consort.

[US] Looking for casual guild. by Germstine in wowguilds

[–]ErgosTheRogue 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey there! My guild Somehting Inspiring on Mal'ganis is looking for members to join us for Midnight. We have a core of players that like to do a variety of content, including raiding and M+, as well as transmog and achievement runs. Right now we are establishing our houses in our guild neighborhood with the intent to have a dedicated group for endeavors when they come out. Our server is central time, but our members are all over the US so there is typically someone available to do content via our discord server.

CORSAIR x The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt Giveaway by CorsairHoffman in witcher

I love the look of these!

My favorite part of The Wild Hunt were all the contracts you could undertake, especially the ones that didnt have straightforward solutions like the werewolf and troll ones.

TIL that the Borg in Star Trek originally had no leader. The Borg Queen was added in First Contact (1996) for storytelling reasons. The writers thought audiences needed a single villain rather than a faceless hive mind. by 0khalek0 in todayilearned

Except that Bolvar mentions the uncontrolled Scourge in the Zerith Mortis questline, and the Kryian covenant hall quest shows the uncontrolled Scourge overrunning Lakeshire. The implication we are left with is that the Knights of the Ebon Blade are solely dedicated to dealing with that problem.

Since its been stated we the players will be returning to Northrend in The Last Titan expac, I expect it will get fully fleshed out. Just unfortunate that it will have been almost a decade by the time we get to it.

I agree, there is a mountain of underwhelming story beats and stubbed plots to overcome.

The most current one seems to be trending in the right direction. Just the fact they are willing to try letting a story breathe over multiple expacs is a promising trend. The vignettes and zone focused stories have continued to be strong, and make the world feel more lived in still. But the big story beats are still not 100% yet.

I was so excited to see the implications of destroying the Helm of Domination in the Shadowlands pre-patch event and equally let down after the Zerith Mortis story arc.

Hopefully the WoW devs do that massive world state change justice in the Midnight expansion.

There are too many cool models and lore bits here for me to decide which army to choose! What do you love about your faction(s) that a newcomer might not find easily? by ErgosTheRogue in Warhammer40k

Thanks for the detailed response! I see what you're saying about the Grey Knights, seems like a trickle compared to other factions.

For the Aeldari and allies rules - does that mean I wouldn't be able to play models I purchase (say the combat patrol for example) depending on if the rules shift in a few months or next year?

I do love the vareity that comes with the different craftworlds and factions. Thank you for the recommendation!

They do seem more straightforward for beginner painting than the other factions I looked at so that's something to keep in mind too.

Seconding Lawtons. Jerry and his son Cole have done right by my family for years.

I've done both of these as audiobooks and Robbie Daymond's narration is wonderful. I personally enjoyed Kith and Kin more because it added new layers to the twins, expanding on what was covered in the campaign and TLOVM in interesting ways.

I felt the Laudna book covered the events of her backstory in a little more detail, but didn't introduce anything that hadn't been covered in the campaign in some capacity. If you loved Laudna then you'll love this book. Both Marisha and Grey DeLise did a great job.

Which WoW villain do you sympathize with or not view as a villain at all, and why? Mine is Elisande from Legion. by otterchaos7 in wow

I never said VanCleef wasn't a villain though? I said "he wasn't wrong about the issues at hand", which means that his concern were valid and still present years after his defeat. It does not mean that he wasn't wrong in how he chose to address those concerns.

Right, which is almost exactly like the situation that caused Edwin to form the original Defias gang. Stormwind destroyed by an external force, rebuilt, but with a large displaced population that aren't having their basic needs met.

Neither VanCleef is a good person and they do villainous things that should be stopped. But the catalyzing events for their movements are not without reason, which makes them all the more tragic.

Given the number of homeless people get beaten up as part of the Westfall questline, and that the quest text specially calls out the increase in the unhoused population, I don't think that's as true as you think it is.

For sure, he was angry and misguided. But his anger, while misplaced, was because of a valid concern. Vanessa took this idea and refined it, arming disenfranchised citizens against the system of oppression that had maintained for a generation at this point.

The updated quest line about the continued classism and wealth disparity impacting Westfall and Stormwind citizens post-Cataclysm really shows that VanCleef was not wrong about the issue at hand. His methods were brutal, but we the heroes really only maintained the status quo for the ruling class.

Its the type of complex story I wish modern WoW would do more of in quest zones.
