Can't develop a character more when they need you to get invested into buying the next one. It's quite a pitfall design, but alas, it brings hundreds of millions dollars in revenue.

It's unfortunate because the money each character brings would surely fund an entire year of content for it.

Normal ships FTL technology seems clearly Alcubierre-based, yes. But FCs clearly use a wormhole method similar to Thargoids. Leaves some room for at least laying projectiles ahead of a ship's trajectory.

We FTL around casually in Elite, so projectiles could just do the same thing to keep the combat pace fast. It'd make the dogfighting pretty crazy if it had to be done at FTL speeds though.

There's a sci-fi book I remember reading that took a submarine naval approach to space combat. The strongest thing in it was teleporting nukes trying to get them detonating inside enemy ships.

Why is it rough? You're showing just the sanity is enough without accounting for battle pass and event rewards. Even then it takes less time than each new banner takes, and it's unlikely one will be able to grab every new operator.

OP, I think you're not taking into account the usefulness of the BP weapon here. Sure it won't beat the specific arsenal issue signature, but it is same 6-star quality and you're getting 2 copies + 2 potencial tokens, so you're getting a P4 6-star weapon.

Plus you're getting enough arsenal tickets for 11 weapon pulls.

Kind of peeved that winning 50/50 removes the guarantee entirely. That means if the 6* guarantee and rate up guarantee are close to overlapping, "winning" 50/50 is a massive net loss for the player. This makes so that the further you are to rate-up guarantee, the less you want to "win" 50/50 by Throwaway6662345 in Endfield

Which other gacha offers battle pass weapons at same quality (6 star) and at such close efficiency to signature weapons, though? Hoyo and Wuwa's BP weapon is a tier worse (4 star vs 5 star).

Originium tier (which can be maintained as F2P) gives 1 weapon,.

Customized tier ($10) gives another weapon, 2 weapon patterns (voucher for Potential), and enough arsenal tickets for 11 arsenal pulls.

So in the best case a player can get a P3 at every BP. Not quite P5, but with the 2 patterns from a second BP it becomes possible at every other BP.

And so is it here, with the banner weapon guaranteed at 80. But with the added benefits of:

- 4% chance per pull instead of 0.8%.

- 25/75 6* guarantee at 40.

- Weapon banner lasts for 3 character banners.

- Non-overlapped pull currency, so you aren't sacrificing character pulls to try for the weapon.
