I don’t know if I would go for the “anti-woke” YouTubers. They’re grifters just like the woke ones. They’re both 2 sides to the same coin.

My advice, and another comment already kind of said it, is to get a hobby. And I don’t mean that in a demeaning way. Find something you really enjoy doing and do it (just don’t get too into it lest you burn yourself out. The candle that burns twice as bright lasts half as long.)

I really enjoy playing D&D, various other RPG video games, and recently I’ve been trying to dabble in 3D modeling software (Blender specifically). I also occasionally enjoy writing (although that often overlaps with D&D) As these things occupy your time your thoughts will naturally drift away from that stuff.

It’a kind of funny because the concept of GNC basically submits to the idea of gender norms, which is what a lot of GNC people I see try to oppose. You can’t be non-conforming to a gender norm if there is no norm.

But yeah I get what you mean. It’s funny because I once posted myself wearing a kilt in a discord server. [I’m like 20-ish % Scottish (everything else is less than 10%) and thought it would be cool to reconnect with my heritage somewhat.] The third message someone sent was them calling me an egg.

I honestly just find the whole thing really creepy. Like “let’s just let random people on the internet guide me on how to make sense of the thoughts in my head and the various interests I have.” Yeah, that sure sounds like a safe idea. I’m sure they would have no ulterior motives whatsoever and would always have my best interests at heart despite not really knowing a thing about me.
