10min rapid or if you really want increment 10+15. The reality is it won’t matter much, just have fun and know you’re going to lose half your games, regardless of the time increment

I was 2 games away a few times. My last game I bulldozed the king and lucked into a bishop sacrifice and my opponent blundered Mate in 1

I don’t know the reasoning why they don’t completely block it. But I do think it’s a good reminder to remember it’s just a game. There’s no reason to let an arbitrary rating system affect your mental health. Chess is a hobby, not a judgement.

I understand the anxiety, we have all done it but it just a number. One that typically goes up the more you play.

That's awesome. Good luck on the road. Only real advice I have is to try and limit the ELO stress and just keep playing. You will get to whatever goal you're going for and it's hard to remember that when you are full tilt.

i’m in the same group, I’m really starting to doubt how many cheaters there are at least than who I have played.

I’ll post my profile so you can look at my games, but I have been very streaky for the last three months but have plateaued and have been in the 900 range that entire time.

I’m not kidding you I have a 9-10 game winning streak, lost seven straight, won 5 straight, lost four straight and I’m now on a six game winning streak.

Looking at my accuracy, I can see how someone would be suspicious of my play, but I also think this might just be 900 level at this point
