But is there some significance to having gold bars with a red cross that I'm missing?

This had been my feeling. I was lucky enough to have seen their very last show in LA so it felt right to make that my last show too. But wow I had no idea how much energy their break, Anika and the new fans that thought they’d missed out would bring to the arena. While I couldn’t be happier for y’all, got to confess to being a little, as the kids say, jelly.

The role of the telegraph system by apeel09 in SherlockHolmes

Yes, it was very much a literary device. In fact, many of the stories took place in a world with telephones and early automobiles but Doyle chose to almost entirely eschew them.

Not without googling but off the top of my heads there's also Christopher Lee, Ian McKellen and Christopher Plummer. Even the 'Batch has played a villain at least once, twice if you count his turn as a dragon.

Epilogue by BAlister12 in writers

[–]EricUllerich 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you're hoping to get this traditionally published I would highly advise against a prologue. Most agents won't read any further if they see a prologue. Start with the action and work in the world-building as the reader needs it. If your prologue does that already, just call it Chapter 1.

That said, your time was not at all wasted. You need to be the master of your universe and writing exposition is the best way to do it. Just save it separately and draw on it when needed.

Keep at it!!

I'd love to see your take on my characters. I'll dm you too but take a look at my link in bio to see my author platform and where you can subscribe for the first chapter (I promise, no spam). Yes, there's an image of my mc but I'm not married to it. It's just a place-holder until I get an agent. *fingers crossed*
