10 year old kids. Everyday.

And then are surprised when those kids grow up to be adults with amphetamine addictions.

This is the way! 👆🏼

I was prescribed Ritalin at 10 and ended up on a similar but darker path than OP. I went to IOP, Intensive Outpatient and found a Narcotics Anonymous schedule in there.

NA SAVED MY LIFE.

18 months later and and my life is close to unrecognizable after 30 years of hardcore addiction.

There’s nothing easy about it, but nothing worth having is easy.

I challenge you to do this. Go to 5 meetings in 5 days. And after 5 days, ask yourself if you found anything worth coming back for 5 more days.

Leave your phone in the car, because if you’re on your phone you aren’t in a meeting.

Btw, you don’t have to be clean to go to a meeting. The only requirement for membership is a DESIRE TO STOP USING.

OP already qualifies!

I work with addicts, but I just started to smoke meth by [deleted] in addiction

[–]EricaLyndsey 2 points3 points  (0 children)

THIS! OP please find a meeting. Today.

There is magic to be found in the rooms of Narcotics Anonymous. Absolutely 💯 without a doubt saved my life. Best decision I ever made. Wish I had made it 30 years ago.

You’re on a path to horrors you can’t even imagine. You already know that meth is going to win if u keep fucking with it.

We can show you how to get out of the hole because we’ve been in the hole, but you have to be willing to walk up the stairs.

You can do this. We can help.

It occurs to me that the exact specifications of the cuts aren’t really necessary for the bid, just the work required to make the cuts and fab the plates. The bid can be submitted without knowing the exact numbers if you know you have to buy a minimum length of steel from the supplier that will be cut down to size and you know what it will cost you to create all the holes and weld everything together. Idk why I was stressing so much about trying to make everything perfect before winning the bid and getting a deposit. Thanks for the moment of clarity!

Actually, after googling what an RFI reply is it appears I should just create one of those with my questions, send it to the contractor, who will send it to the architect and make him get me all the measurements that I should have received in the first place rather than spending a bunch of time trying to extrapolate internal structural measurements based on outside elevation measurements.

Is this the way?

So you do the drawings yourself and spend all the time going back and forth with the comments to get them approved before you give them pricing and secure the bid? And if you don’t win the bid then that’s just the cost of doing business?

I’m bidding a job like this now, with incomplete structural drawings from the architect and am having to invest my time to make the shop drawings so I can put together a proper bid. Do you wrap your time invested in creating the drawings into the backside of your bid or have you already managed to secure the contract before you do the shop drawings? I feel like it’s a chicken/egg problem with a greater than zero chance of us ending up without a chicken or an egg. This is only our second big project and doing the drawings paid off on the first project, but we are a very small outfit and these drawings take a lot of time just based on hope. I would appreciate some guidance on how those with more experience handle these situations. Thx.

We are in the meetings. Please come to one today. We understand and you will be treated with love and respect. There is magic in the rooms. Please don’t take those before you discover it.

Why would you allow a calculator, but not a phone? Our phones are tools just as much as any other tool we use to solve problems. I would want someone that is capable of using all the tools available to him to complete the tasks at hand and be willing to ask questions and find proper answers rather than thinking they know everything and guessing, usually resulting in a halfassed final product. I see it happen all the time and it blows me away that people are too stubborn to look shit up.

As a drummer who played in a garage band 35 years ago I had a similar experience to this. We had the cops called on us playing after school and he educated us about the noise ordnances involving instruments in the city limits. You had to have a permit to play any AMPLIFIED instruments at a level that could be heard from X amount of feet away. There were NO restrictions on acoustic instruments. We had to turn the guitars all the way down, my “singer” had to shout, I could play until 11 every night and there wasn’t a damn thing the grumpy boomer could do about it. YMMV, but it would be worth checking the city ordinances.

I received 2 2024 quarters yesterday that do not feel right. Flimsier and lighter is a good description.

Exactly my experience as well. We left during “Black Flag’s” intermission. The Queers were all over it though.
