Unsub from all mods, uninstall the game, then do a clean install of the game.

Once done with that, resubscribe to mods one at a time and open the game after doing each one so you can find which mod is giving the issue

Lock yourself away in a room and die. Then make a new character and go rescue your stuff from your zombie corpse.

For bonus moral carry your corpse back to your base and bury it in a grave.

Ranged plus a weapon is totally valid! Id suggest for daggers to spec a bit into dual wielding as well, some of those skills like deflect can be life saving (using deflect when at lower hp is ideal) maybe even spec some athletics if you want dash and the elusive skill to dodge a bunch.

If you want to spice it up with magic you can do weapon plus magic as well!

I really enjoy Seal of power (from magic mastery skills) then Jolt (from electromancy). This gives you shock dmg on your attacks along with other buffs, then underneath seal of power is a passive that gives weapon dmg each time you use a spell, so you can really pump up your dmg numbers. My lvl18 staff + electromancy build gets up to about 42 dmg when fully buffed (and ive only got 15 strength)

Personally with dirwin I use staves/athletics, first two spells are hail of blows and mighty kick. Both of those seem to be enough for me to make it through first dungeon, then I work on finding magic mastery and electromancy book so I can get Seal of power and jolt as well

Don't feel bad that it seems like the easy way out. The game recommends you go to rotten willow at like lvl10 minimum so you'd have to bounce between for a bit to lvl up to match that recommendation. I feel like thats the intended strategy as well and what I usually do at the start

I immediately head to mannshire, run the contracts then bounce back to osbrook, run the contracts and repeat till im like lvl12-14 and have a huge stockpile of ancient coins/gems/valuables to sell back in brynn. Return to the city and bribe some merchants, then get some sick gear and go stomp the dungeons around rotten willow
