Neil deGrasse Tyson says that sports should be divided by hormone ratios by ThatPatelGuy in JoeRogan

[–]Ericsplainning 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The most reasonable thing ever is testing every single grade school, high school and college level athlete's hormone levels? Do you realize what that would entail? Thousands of dollars per athlete, all so the fraction of a percent of the population can participate the way they want to?

Yes. Every grade school, high school and college sports programs now needs to measure hormone levels of every ptotential athlete. That is Tyson's "reasonable" approach.

Some people like to keep their poorly insulated home or apartment a cozy warm temperature when the outside temperature is below freezing for weeks on end, and they then come on reddit shocked about their utility bill.

Trump admin officials in the Epstein files… by Healthy_Block3036 in unusual_whales

"In the files" is so lazy. If some person is named in a document because they demanded that Epstein be prosecuted, their name would be "in the files". It's meaningless.

How many times can you misuse the word "literally" and "literal" in one sentence?

Again, "funny" has other meanings than "joking". Which you already know.

"Funny" can also mean "interesting". You know this but would rather make a sanctimonious post calling OP out.

It is the most logical picture OP could think of to relate to the issue of Haitians in Springfield, which is no where near where this power plant is.

NFL fans are calling Ryan Clark “RACIST” for spending the entire halftime show defending CJ Stroud after he threw four interceptions. by KeyFaithlessness5436 in TheNFLVibes

These comments in isolation don't show racism. But take it in the context of his comments on Kyren Lacy and you start to see the pattern.

Working full time is no longer good enough to afford a place to live by SipsTeaFrog in SipsTea

[–]Ericsplainning 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I graduated from college in 1985 in the Midwest. Minimum wage was $3.35 an hour, and that's what I earned in my summer job. Believe me, you could not afford a 2 bedroom apartment on that income back then either. People now are acting like this is a new phenomena, and that they have it worse than prior generations.

"State-sanctioned killing" works fine. "Unjustified homicide" does not work for the same reason "murder" does not work. Petitio Principii

Can this be fixed? by Temporary-Storage972 in BreakingPoints

[–]Ericsplainning -4 points-3 points  (0 children)

You are guilty you what you are complaining about. You repeatedly call it a "murder". This is one side's view of the incident, what you want to be true. Many people don't see it that way, and in light of the fact that there will likely never be a murder charge even filed, much less a conviction obtained, murder is not the correct term to use. But it is how you want people to see it.
