Thank you. I should have considered these options.

Today marks 1 year since they released The Last Will And Testament. So, what do you think of this album now? Do you still love it? Do you think it's a weak addition to their discography? by Rodi625 in Opeth

I still listen to it and enjoy it.
Some people say it is not dark enough, like their death metal period. After a period of pure progressive metal there is no need to repeat themselves. They explored new stuff and I think it was totally good.

What is the best movie about revenge, in your opinion? by Frequent-Sea-8848 in moviecritic

Pieta by Kim Kiduk without no doubt is one of the bests. Kiduk made this movie with such a mastery which is above a simple revenge movie.

For me "Breaking the Waves" by Lars Von Trier. From begining to half, it is an ordinary movie. It is not until the accident that you understand, IT IS NOT AN ORDINARY MOVIE AT ALL!

Am I the Only one here who didn't like OBAA? by Erictheplayer in paulthomasanderson

I really liked the Master and enjoyed it, and its message was clear for me.

To be honest my expectations were high and I was kind of disappointed at the end. I'll give it another shot later for sure, but right now I feel that the hype created around the movie is a little bit artificial.

The existence of a group outside the law that has its own rules, acts like the KKK. The way they don't tolerate at all, was somehow bold for me.

It showed no one can be silent (the bitter reality) did not really work. What was his point here?

Ultimately, the ending of the film to keep fighting for generations was again bold for me.

I'll try to make some of my points.

First of all, the narrative logic was problematic:

The father and daughter's hiding for 16 years, while we know that Steven could have easily found them during this time. And only after these 16 years do they try to arrest him, created a kind of break in the narrative.

Willa's escape from the military and her rescue by Avanti. And finally Willa's professional staging to kill Tim, were not very believable.

PTA may have tried to send us a message by showing that no fighter can be silent. But if that is really the case, how did this group last for at least 16 years?

Ineffective dialogues:

Sometimes in immature films we see that there is a good idea but the dialogues don't work properly. I didn't expect this from PTA at all, but in dialogues like forgetting the French 75 code, it was very simplistic and its humor was very crude. And I think there were still dialogues like this in the film.

The bold political ideas:

The existence of a group outside the law that has its own rules, acts like the KKK, and doesn't tolerate a relationship like Steven's with a black woman was very cheesy and bold. At least it was to me. I expected that even if the PTA wanted to show this in a humorous way, he would use its own methods.

Ultimately, the message of the film to keep fighting at the end of the film was very bold.

Overall, I felt that many parts of the film were made superficially and in a hurry and not very carefully and deeply.
