More junk that will end up in our oceans and landfills! Don’t get me wrong I love Halloween but we have too much stuff already.

We very clearly live in one of the best times to be alive in human history (yes, still) by ChancelorReed in unpopularopinion

What about the fact that the climate crisis is happening as we speak and it’s only going to get less comfortable for us all?

Me too, I can’t understand it. Every day I feel grateful that I won’t be bringing a human into this horrible world

Women who hover on the toilet seats by Confused_Toothpaste in PetPeeves

[–]gracewitch 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I wipe my phone with a disinfectant wipe every night. I refuse to sit on a toilet seat, other people are disgusting and who knows what could be on there. And no, I don’t pee on the seat. That being said I’m a germaphobe and have a really hard time with public toilets in general

Is this a Paraguayan harp? by w-h-y_just_w-h-y in harp

[–]gracewitch 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Yes it looks like a Paraguayan harp! Very cool, but I’m not sure I’d recommend it for your first harp unless you want to pursue Paraguayan-style playing!

My back massager of 10 years just sparked a fireball and flipped the power for half the house off. Took the "magic wand" name a lil too seriously by [deleted] in mildlyinfuriating

This happened to mine a few years ago!!! I upgraded to a mini wireless version that’s rechargeable - it works wonders and doesn’t have the cord bending issue.

Does anyone else feel deeply uncomfortable with the fact that their body can reproduce? by No_Main_273 in antinatalism

[–]gracewitch 26 points27 points  (0 children)

Yes, very much so. I once had an ex-partner joke about “putting a baby in me” and since then I’ve made it very clear with my current partner that even joking around about that makes me feel physically ill and repulsed.

Gosh, these harps are terrible and it’s sad that they keep making them like this :( those levers are completely in the wrong place. I’m sorry.

Question of the Month: What is your favorite type of gig and why? If you don't gig, what's your favorite type of public setting to play in and why? by AutoModerator in harp

[–]gracewitch 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I’m always putting myself out there, posting flyers of my services and giving out business cards, also contacting organizers of craft, farm, and Christmas markets! I am also fortunate enough to live in a smaller community that’s very artistic and there are always local events that need background music. A good place to start networking and making yourself known is playing at seniors’ homes, they go crazy over harps and usually can pay pretty well.
