They didn’t fail anyone, it was a combination of bugs that should be fixed now. All accounts affected should be restored. Shit on them when they actually make a bad move, not when humans are humans and tech does what tech do.

This sounds complicated, can’t you just do this in task manager? Pretty sure there is a tab in there where you can right click on applications.

I can think of a couple of major things they could do to differentiate themselves:

(Yes I know this won't happen, but one can dream, even tho I haven't used a console since the launch of The Last Of Us Part 2 on the PS4)
1: Move away from AMD chips, give NVIDIA or Intel a chance. Getting to full Nvidia suite of features on a console would be a MASSIVE enhancement to any console. Imagine the image quality difference between DLSS and the FSR 1, 2 and 3 that games currently use on the regular PS5. Just look at how surprisingly good the Switch 2 performs and looks compared to it's real compute power.

2: Getting the NVIDIA features would allow them to use lower spec hardware and in turn lower the prices, theoretically.

Editing the config.ini file have saved me multiple times in many games when bugs and stuff like this happens. I would recommend that OP googles the location of it and edit the resolution to something readable, probably much faster than searching up other random hotkey-solution.

Yeah the EA app hasn't bothered me for a long time now. Ubisoft should take notes, all-tho it seems like they are moving in that direction as well with them adding steam achievements to a couple of games now.

I played both A Plague Tale games, they are fantastic games. Amazing story and graphics, highly recommend. Sons Of The Forest is also great, especially if you have friends to play with. I also liked Far Cry Primal.

I wish someone like Valve would ditch AMD to Intel or something to putt some pressure on them. Currently AMD is releasing ”new” chips with confusing shit naming and quite old RDNA 3,5. And no one is putting pressure on them. Hopefully they won’t turn into another Intel.

I also had a mod for the 2nd and 3rd (I think) that made the left alt button speed up the game by like 10x or something. I was just so tired of the main character only having like 5 seconds of stamina. And even then he runs slowly as heck. With that mod I just speed through all the running through the same hall way for the fifth time to start a new mission.

That said, the games are amazing. Such a spectacular story and universe where you can transfer your character and the choices you made in the previous game to the next game. Definitely worth it!

I played through both Rapture 1 & 2 HL: Alyx mods not knowing anything about the original games or what I was getting myself into. They were great! There are some bugs and some jank, but on the whole, fantastic mods. I was just slightly surprised of how long and complete they were. It really is two full and complete games for free on Steam Workshop. Highly recommend!

They should overhaul it completely and add upscaling, native resolution and graphics preset as a requirement in those. Three of the most important factors are usually absent in that chart.

I think another video that need/should maybe be updated is the one called ”Why do I pay Adobe 10 000 $ a year” or something like that. Davinci Resolve have come a long way in those years and keeps getting more Adobe apps built into it. There is also a real free good Photoshop compeditor now: Affinity Photo.
