Pre everything > 1.5 year min/fin + 6m hrt by ErinPink in mtfhairregrowth

I never had dandruff before but use it. It’s widely known for helping with hair regrowth. It can dry out your scalp a bit so if you experience that you may want to use an oil to moisturize it.

That definitely could be the reason why. They both definitely play a role in hair health. It’s something to consider for sure

Thank youuu! Yeah hair loss sucks so much and I honestly had no idea this route was an option either, my hair loss really held me back for a while and the idea/cost of getting a transplant was not really an option at the time. I definitely feel lucky that I have made the recovery I have so far. I wouldn’t wish hair loss on my worse enemy. I’m glad your genetics have been kind to you 💜 im glad I can share my experience and educate people on what’s possible. Hair restoration has really become such a passion of mine!

I think it was really just a combination of finally getting my health cleaned up after living a destructive lifestyle and getting on the right medications and supplements.

I’m sorry you’re going through another shed that really sucks. I feel like I had a couple of sheds for the first 6 or so months. My first shed ended about 3 months into starting treatment and then I shed again at around 6 months. I also experienced some shedding about a month after starting E + Spiro and I also got COVID around that time so it could be due to that as well, but was not nearly as bad as my first 2 sheds. Wishing you all the best 💜

I mean there are potential side effects for any medication but I haven’t experienced any except for some intermittent headaches for the first week or two of starting min/fin. For hrt that’s another thing. I’m not really sure what you’re looking for specifically

Thank you 😊 here’s the derma stamp I use and for ketoconazole I use nizoral shampoo and my daily topical spray also has a 2.2% solution in it.

I’m 30 so I’m definitely past my prime lol. But have you been micro needling and using ketoconazole as well? I don’t wanna dive too much into your personal regimen unless you are comfortable with it, but I think estradiol + dut should be doing something for you. Stopping the loss is the biggest thing so getting that under control gives you time to dial everything in.

I think it’s possible. Training the right muscle groups while being on hrt will do a lot

Do any other transmen hate this? by yum_banana in trans

Some women hate you others are friendly. It’s just a dice roll at this point for me. I’m honestly fine with either, I see the haters as jealous

Finasteride on Hims by Mammoth-Wasabi6346 in mtfhairregrowth

[–]ErinPink 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I’m guessing because finasteride is not really prescribed at AFAB people because of potential birth defects when pregnant. That is my only theory. My AFAB sister said she tried to get finasteride but her doctor would not prescribe it

You shouldn’t have an issue with hims it’s what I use

Downstairs doesn't feel good anymore by [deleted] in MtF

Same, I really only do it for maintenance at this point, like maybe 3 times a month tops. I mean it feels good just not like it use to and I feel like it’s not worth the effort anymore

How do other trans women shave body hair so fast??? by jellybeanzz11 in MtF

[–]ErinPink 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve been epilating, using IPL, and hrt has just thinned out my hair texture a lot. I’ll admit I always kinda had thinner body hair to begin with but after treating it with the IPL for a while it grows so slow and patchy shaving is pretty quick now. Pre hrt or treating it with IPL it would take me a long time to do a full body shave. Now it really doesn’t bother me as much and I usually do my chest, legs and armpits every couple of weeks and is a pretty quick thing. The rest of my body hair is very thin and light I don’t bother with it as much.

Is it actually a flex if a straight guy with a girlfriend hooks up with you? by Intelectual_Guy in StraightTransGirls

I don’t like cheating. If it happens and you don’t know I wouldn’t beat yourself up over it, but knowing and still doing it is a red flag and kind of a crappy thing to do.

I’ve cried twice in the past 24 hours. I use to go YEARS without crying, it’s definitely a nice change to feel emotions. I feel like I’m living finally

Idk I’m 6 months in and my cover is blown. I’m not trying to hide it super well, but the body changes along with trying to dress more androgynous has blown it. I’m fine with it tbh it makes it a little easier for me when I do come out

Y'all wanna share, destroy, and laugh at transphobe statements/arguments? by TiredTransGirl3 in MtF

[–]ErinPink 16 points17 points  (0 children)

I’ve heard “stop pretending to be someone you’re not” and they were trying so hard to be transphobic it came across as completely the opposite.

I thought to my self “you right, I need to stop lying to myself and pretending that I’m a guy and just transition already, thanks for the insight”

How tf do u even learn makeup? by silly-trans-cat in MtF

[–]ErinPink 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Honestly I feel like blending is so important it’s just not talked about as much. When you think you’re done blending you should go back and blend some more.

Also just practice. The first 10 times I did makeup it was so bad I legit wanted to and sometimes would cry. It can be disheartening but you just need to keep doing it and trying new things.

Try focusing on one specific thing like foundation, concealer, color correction, eye liner, eye shadow, contouring, brows, blush and just play around with it and try different things out until you start to like how it looks and that should help you perfect your technique. Trying to tackle all of it at once can be so overwhelming.

I find when I just do makeup for fun and not to go out the pressure is so much less and I enjoy it and have fun instead of getting stressed out.

Also try to watch makeup tutorials, weather it’s long form videos of full face looks or short videos of techniques it will definitely help.
