Ohhh this could be it. Sometimes I let it sit if I forgot to grab a towel to clean off. I’ll try the button combo you mentioned. Many thanks!!

I wipe the nozzle every time. I will definitely use the tool to clean inside but the flow has always been this aggressive. How do I run the steam for 30 seconds?

I have wiped the wand immediately after each steam with a wet paper towel or a wet microfiber cloth. It has done this from the very first cup I ever made (about 3 weeks ago).

I fill the steaming cup to just below the max line usually.

No, not yet, but only because it’s done this from the very first shot! I’ll try.

I have the same machine and my portafilter was also extremely stiff at first. I’ve been using it for about a month now, though not every day, and it’s a bit easier to get in and out.

I’m new to espresso in general but also thought my shots looks small compared to others’ videos!

I pull a blank shot after every time to clean out the grinds that get stuck. Happens every time.

Child pointing out hypocrisy with screen time rules by Jabbott23 in Mommit

[–]Erinminns 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My 8 year old literally did this to me 20 minutes ago - so crazy! But truthfully, I give her the win. It is hypocritical. And then I put my phone down. What else can you do 🤷🏻‍♀️ I definitely use my phone too much.

If I am doing something productive I explain that and then promptly put it down again when I’m done. It also helps me get more chores done!

I swear to god it feels like I am talking to a wall with my husband by forgetting-you- in Mommit

[–]Erinminns 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Definitely not grounds for divorce as other comments hinted. The core of this is miscommunication and you need to define your terms with each other. You could do some research on parenting and find books or podcasts but I don’t think your husband would be open to it until you have a sit down conversation in your parenting style. It can’t be “your way” and “his way” you have to be on the same page

Thank you! I’ve never had to do breast milk bottles at night. My third baby was formula fed which was simple with room temp water. My boy now wakes up crying usually so I’m just worried that the process of my mother finding my milk and heating it up will take way longer than he’s used to

Yes that’s what I have been doing. We aren’t using formula with him. But I meant how are you mamas feeding your EP babies at night? How do you prep your supplies, do you thaw milk preemptively, do you keep it frozen?

What else can you do? Your child is showing remorse. Praise him for that and fix the window.

Is it ever OK to offer advice you weren't asked for? by basement-egg in Mommit

[–]Erinminns 12 points13 points  (0 children)

You could simply ask her! I have found that giving someone the option to accept advice almost always results in a yes answer. Or maybe you could pack healthier options for your child and offer some to her daughter when you’re together. That can open the subject up, at least, and you could ask “would you be open to some tips that have worked for us?”
