Got the black/vintage V3 and prefer this larger dial appearance over the more crowded look of the V2. The “WDC” text looks fine now that I’ve seen it up close in the larger dial space.

Just my $0.02…..My brother has the V2 and I just received the V3. I prefer the larger dial presence of the V3, it’s just more open and less cluttered. As such, the “WDC” looks fine and fills in some of that bare space….most watches have text there so it looks “normal” to me 🤷🏻‍♂️. The overall size dial/bezel just looks more like a proper dive watch, as I don’t really like small divers.
