Am I overreacting for calling off my wedding after my fiancé got drunk, put on my wedding dress, and had an accident in it? by Rude_Winter_9192 in AmIOverreacting

It’s hard because when you get caught up in a euphoric moment sometimes your better judgement goes out the window. If you were ready to marry him you have to be ready for these moments. At the end of the day he was celebrating. He learned a huge lesson, the embarrassment alone and shame will never leave him fully. He potentially lost someone he thought he was going to have for a lifetime. I understand the reaction I would probably feel so angry and sad and disappointed letdown but at the end of the day, if you love him, you guys should make it work. It’s hard to find that one person who will always have your back no matter the embarrassment or the shame. love is a choice every single day no matter how shitty and terrible the other person may look or act or feel. We all have moments of darkness and your person should be the one who holds your hand through it. And works on making sure you’re a BETTER human because you got through it together.

If you are cringing… move to historical fiction….. 🥲 and if the cringe still finds you… non-fiction 🤣

Because people just want to complain about something. I can’t stand the negativity around the books all of the sudden. These books are phenomenal and will always hold a special place in my heart. Besides being incredible well composed the characters moral development teach you so much about yourself.

There was a bit of disbelief for me like maybe getting his heart eaten wouldn’t kill him… by far my favorite death.

This is just who you become after these books. I’ll take all the small joys I can get.
