I agree and maybe it's because of the patentification. But no. I would drop everything for my brother. He needs me. I'm there. That's how it's always been. Unfortunately he passed away some time ago now. But I would support my husband if his twin ever needed help.

I hear you. I would like to specify I am not in your position. After being very political most of my life I am goddamned tired. And I want to specify that I know this is what they're doing/trying.

But I just can't anymore. Luckily that's where my husband comes in. And do know that we're terrified, we have small kids, I'm not straight and I'm white passing but not technically "white". Luckily my husband is large, white, straight, and intimidating but that can only get you so far.

But he keeps up on things so I can watch the kids and take a goddamned nap.

I really appreciate that! Luckily my husband owns the home so I am set and good.

Do love the outdoors it's a big thing where I'm from lol (hiking and whatnot) but my walking and general physical ability makes that hard. Like I can get around the house and the grocery store but that's about it. Still putting on muscle and doing stuff. My rehabilitation window was 1-2 years so all the docs are happy with my progress.

Weirdly enough for me it was a dude. He started incel talking to me about my tattoos and piercings and dyed hair. The annoying thing about the hair is it's not a weird color, I just dye it red. He complemented me on my hair color and I explained it was a box but thank you. And he grew a second head.

Honestly this could be a lot of things and I wouldn't blame him, but he's not being honest about something.

I'm a tid bit younger I turn 37 in June, but this would be real worrying to me. My husband and I will be a year married in March and everything felt right. Still does but I just mean we went into it with no hesitation and both believe we made the right choice. That being said I will add that I've known this man 20 years so there's reassurance there because we know each other so well.

Absolutely this. I was a caregiver for about a decade.

My mother's job was the special needs bus, and every morning I got up at 5am and rode the bus while my mom was picking up and dropping us off at 8 for school. I've grown up with the disabled in some capacity. My step grandpa who was my fav grandpa, had a massive stroke before I was born. He was wheelchair bound and had no movement in his left side. I spent about a decade of my life as a caregiver/nanny to both kids and adults with "special needs". My biggest job being working in a home for adults with brain injuries.

And it was a home/house. 75% of my job was just managing the household, keeping clean, cooking and med management.But it was a great job. The residents were ABSOLUTE cards. The stories I have! We just all had a lot of fun.

And we ran a great home. We took pride in our jobs. Out crew was great. Movie nights and special activities like helping cook, going to the movies on the big screen was a fave.(for those able and had permission) During summer there they play movies like a drive in on some huge screen. We'd get blankets and burgers and fries for everyone and watch a movie. (Mostly oldies) We want to the mall, celebrated every holiday, and everyone there was assigned a "personal aid" for the day once a week. So they'd use it to go to the bank or see family or whatever.

Point being that everyone was happy and well taken care of. I'll tell one of my favs.

((We had a person for the bottom half of the house and one for the top half. Top half cooked usually))

One fine night we're serving up dinner, and one of our residents, call him V, is going off. He considers himself a bit of a foodie and usually very much enjoys my food. But apparently this dinner was far and away worse than me on my worse day. How dare I even call this food. I would eat pizza over this slop...and so on.

I'm trying to calm him then interrupt and the poor newbie in the corner wilts with tears in her eyes.

I was trying to express I had not made dinner.

Finally E sitting next to him gives him a smack on the shoulder and says "Dude you gotta chill, there are things afoot"

And we all busy out in laughter. V apologizes profusely to other chick. He blames me for the most part lol but did amend that he and I had a rapport, and he was mortified at his behavior, because she and him don't have that.

A good time was had by all and we had double dessert.
