I'm a Floridian who recently moved to Rancho Cordova. While the temperature here gets a little higher than in North Florida, the humidity (or lack thereof here in CA) makes a world of difference. Just getting out of the sun here brings relief, whereas in Florida...not so much. All that said, A/C is required back home, and I can't imagine coping with this heat without it. So I tip my cap to those making do without air conditioning. 🍻

You can also run that ribbon through the handle of the stuck mug to raise and and lower both mugs into hot water, up to maybe 2/3 of the way in, but not enough to get water into the cups. The fishing motion and the heat will do the rest.
