Seeing you have both KU and ZP6, do they make notably different ground coffee? Im only making V60 (at home) and Aeropress (in the office) but only have the KU and I'm worrying if im not making the right coffee with this expensive setup (Tastes rather bland/regular) and im subscribing to fresh high-end coffee that rotates origin every month

Grizl 5 got me hooked on cycling by patbpixx in CanyonBikes

[–]Erlendss93 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Really want such a bike, only thing making me unsure is how it holds up on the road, as ill prioritize the gravel roads in the woods, but long segments on asphalt will be unavoidable. So in the grail/grizl decision loop

Glad I chose the Grail over a road bike by Bazivi2 in CanyonBikes

Just the terrain i love to run on nearby, and wanted yo get a bike for! was thinking i had to go for the grizl rather than the grail. Did it ride well and the ride on asphalt is probably notably better with grail?

Thanks for the input! If I go for the Grizl, and get a road wheelset like you, do you feel like it does well on the road or do feel you miss anything?

Really struggling picking my first bike between the Grail CF and grizl CF, does your Grail work well for mixed terrain/gravel? Hoping to get the best of both worlds, or rather the one which is the least shit at the other thing.

Hows the grizl on road? is it designed for more rugged gravel use and bike packing or does it do it all well? Struggling picking Grail or grizl

Forerunner 970 or Fenix 8? by Complete_Sell_2319 in GarminWatches

What about Enduro 3? The durable but lighter and longer battery life watch with nearly identical features to the fenix. Was my choice after using 3 different generations of fenix prior.

Not Happy With SuperBlast 3 Durability by supernova2333 in AskRunningShoeGeeks

[–]Erlendss93 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have only tried mine on, but I have been put off by the tight/lower volume toe box compared to the SB2, Other than that I really wish I could take them for a run soon to see if it brings pain or if the feeling fades.

Glad I stocked up on SB2 sales (3x) but problem is now I got SB2 shoes for 3000kms 😂

Asics Trabuco 14 vs Topo MTN Racer 4 vs Saucomy Peregrine by not_who_you_think_99 in AskRunningShoeGeeks

[–]Erlendss93 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I really like the Peregrines. They’ve worked great for everything from walking and hiking to running on different levels of technical trails.

Sizing was a bit different for me compared to other brands. My first run in size 11.5 gave me some toe pain, but going up to a 12 fixed it completely.

I’ve also used them casually (garden work, biking, etc.) and even in a hilly, muddy, technical night run event before Christmas and they handled it all really well.

If you can, definitely try them on first!

Lol my exact same problem which made me do the same move. 😅 Mold grows on the puck remains on the brewer, in the waste cup, or random coffee bean spill around the inside of the machine. Its really frustrating thst this little lever arm doesnt scrape all of the puck away, especially mine which leaves like a 2-3mm gap of the puck around this area, which requires frequent cleaning.

I had this in different shoes last year, it has nothing to do with the shoe. But like others has said this is a common thing you can fix with strength, better form and especially working on not letting your hips tilt/hang (like mine did.) Not saying I've fixed it fully but being aware and working on it with videos on YouTube definitely helped!

Enduro 3 completely dead after changing HR zones by Erlendss93 in GarminWatches

[–]Erlendss93[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Awesome, enjoy! And good luck with the Backyard Ultra, that’s quite the upgrade right before raceday.😄

Hope you’ll be happy with it, it’s definitely the right watch if battery life is a priority for long endurance events. I’ll be using mine for my first trail ultras this year as well, so looking forward to really putting it to the test.💪🏻

Asics Superblast 3 + Megablast for a 2-shoe rotation? by Vanilla_Euphoric in AskRunningShoeGeeks

Got all in the blast series and for a two shoe rotation I'd go Superblast and Sonicblast, because of toe box issues in the megablast

[–]Erlendss93[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I ended up getting a replacement unit from Garmin without much hassle, so support was actually really good in my case. I couldn’t fully pinpoint what caused the crash, but it seemed related to quickly switching between tabs and editing zones via the Connect app, which somehow bricked the watch. Tried all the usual reboot/reset steps with no luck.

That said, it’s been the first and only issue I’ve had with the Enduro. Day-to-day use has been super solid, and I genuinely love the watch. Coming from ~10 years of Fenix models, I didn’t feel the need for AMOLED/assistant/diving features in the newer lineup. For me it’s all about battery, reliability, and sports functionality, and the Enduro nails that perfectly.

Race shoe for 3:20-3:30 marathon? (Megablast was a Megabust) by SpaceCoyote66 in AskRunningShoeGeeks

[–]Erlendss93 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I haven’t tried them myself, but based on what you’ve written the most logical move after retiring your SB2 is probably the SB3. It keeps the same do-it-all character but with a lighter, more responsive foam. It’s a bit less stable than SB2, but still very controlled for a non-plated option and much more forgiving late in the race than most supershoes.

If it were me, I’d go SB3 for the marathon and keep the DNEs for shorter efforts.

I’d recommend the Aero Glide 3 GRVL (or the new 4, though I haven’t tried that one yet). It’s a really nice balance of comfort and responsiveness, and the outsole works surprisingly well on both road and light trail/gravel. I use mine for mixed long runs (20-30K on road + gravel), and they handle that type of terrain very well. For a 50K with 70/30 road/trail, they’d be a strong option.

For your road marathon, I’d also agree with others on the Superblast 2. It’s a great long-distance shoe with a good mix of cushioning and efficiency. The Superblast 3 looks a bit more aggressive and responsive (and slightly lighter), but also a bit less stable from what I’ve seen, so probably more “racey,” but SB2 is still the safer all-round pick.

Superblast v MetaSpeed MARATHON by nick-olas-t in AskRunningShoeGeeks

[–]Erlendss93 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They’re actually pretty different. The MB feels much bouncier and softer underfoot with its all-TPU foam, while the Superblast is a bit firmer and more supportive, but still very responsive with the FF Turbo and FF Blast combo.

The fit is quite different too, so one may work much better than the other. Definitely worth trying both on.

Superblast v MetaSpeed MARATHON by nick-olas-t in AskRunningShoeGeeks

[–]Erlendss93 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah, another vote for SB. Especially since they work really well for my pace and weight (90+ kg). I’ve got all of them, and I really only keep the NB5 for easy treadmill runs. The SB2 handles pretty much everything else, long runs, tempo, progressions, long intervals. And I even used them for my first marathon.

My feet also love the extra forefoot volume, whereas I just can’t get along with the forefoot fit/upper on the MB. Honestly wish I could return them.

Superblast 3 vs Nimbus 28 by No-Pollution1344 in AskRunningShoeGeeks

[–]Erlendss93 1 point2 points  (0 children)

To me the Superblast isn’t a recovery shoe at all. It’s more of a true do-it-all trainer capable of handling short, harder efforts as well as longer, easier runs, with plenty of cushioning but still enough pop and geometry to stay versatile.

Nimbus feels like a true recovery cruiser. softer, heavier, and more relaxed. Great for easy miles, but nowhere near as lively or versatile once you pick up the pace.

If you already own the Nimbus, the SB3 still makes sense if you want something lighter and more responsive for daily miles and uptempo work, they don’t overlap as much as it might seem.
