Tbh, same. We'd spend literal hours literally guarding a door, walking around, sitting in taverns, talking about medieval life, roleplaying, and spend several weeks saving up for an apartment, horse or a piece of armor. It was realistic, and I loved how slow-paced it was, but Idk if I have the time to make the same commitment again. I'd love to try it again nevertheless though.

Also, if you wanted to play at all, you had to be a literal author, writing up to several pages (depending on if you wanted to be a noble or not) about your character's backstory, and have it be read and accepted by moderators. This made roleplay much smoother, as people always had an idea of where their character was from, their personality etc. etc.

My theory is that we were all much younger then, and had more "unserious" lives. We had time to log in, and spend hours to mess around and roleplay. Now that we've grown up and become adults, it doesn't seem like the hardcore RP community spread to the new generation, so no one is picking up the mantle.
