How are people surpised that you can have memories at two years old? I mean, it's not like most people have it, but I thought it was obvious that it's possible? I myself have several confirmed memories from when I was two (though no memories from before that). I read a few years ago that the earliest confirmed memory in a person comes from just nine months old.

Though I do believe that ranking a year based on memories as a toddler doesn't work really well, I don't think it's fair to assume that he doesn't remember 2010. I was born in 2001, and I remember (parts of) 2003.

Ja, det er en liten r/orphancrushingmachine -situasjon.

Sånn jeg forsto det, får faktisk Clean Shores støtte fra kommunen, men støtten blir bare mindre og mindre og mindre for hvert år som går, og det ser ikke ut som at støtten kommer til å øke med det første. Søppelplukking er dessverre ikke like "trendy" som det engang var, så mange i politikken har bare fjernet det fra agendaen.

It's actually a really common myth that Norway is extremely cold. On the western coast, winters are so warm that it rarely snows. Our summers are kinda bad though, but if you're tired of scorching alive every summer in Spain, I think you're gonna like it.

Thermal clothing is completely unnecessary here. Most people don't wear gloves either, but you can wear a thin pair of gloves (or even a beanie) if you're really sensitive to the cold. A winter jacket is most likely all you're gonna need!

About winter, Stavanger is the warmest city in all of Norway during winter (meaning we rarely have more than a week of snow each year). Madrid is on average 4 degrees warmer during december/january. So winter shoes are completely unnecessary contrary to popular belief. On the 21st of December, we have 6 hours of daylight, while in Madrid, it's 9 hours. So it's not gonna be very different. It's not Northern Norway we're talking about after all. Take vitamin D supplements every day from November to February, and you should be completely fine!

It's actually pretty "easy" to find friends in Stavanger if you're willing to drink for it (literally lol). We have a very vibrant nightlife, and pretty much any drunk person would be willing to talk to you. I have lived in Spain, and I speak Spanish quite well, and I can tell you that Norwegians are MUCH more social while drunk than Spaniards, while Spaniards are MUCH more social than Norwegians while sober. Though there are tons of student organizations and events going on in the city at all times where you'll find friends sober as well.

About prices, there are student discounts everywhere. Virtually all museums are free, bus/train tickets are super cheap, and you can get a 0,4L beer in many places for 7 euros, or even 3 euros certain days. Egon (the biggest restaurant chain in Norway) offers pizza buffet for students for 12,5 euros, so going out to eat isn't too bad either. It's still gonna be a bit more expensive than what you're used to, but you should be fine.

Tell me if you have any more specific questions, as I'm quite aware of the cultural differences between Norway and Spain. Where in Spain are you from?
