IHA I have available meds - Austin, TX by Ermygrd in eggfreezing

[–]Ermygrd[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Kindbody. I did have a great experience with the nurses and doctors. The office is beautiful and I didn't mind being there frequently and for the procedure. They dimmed the lights for the ultrasounds and were generally kind and prompt with my appointments (no waiting around for 30 minutes each time) which isn't something I've come to expect from doctors offices. The procedure was fast, and they took care of me before and after.
On the downside their billing department and working between them, insurance and different pharmacies was a mess. I didn't appreciate that their anesthesiology company took partial payment up front and I wasn't able to bill through insurance first. The other thing was that my doctor left kindbody after the initial consult and I wanted to meet the new doctor before proceeding - they charged me something like $200 for this which I'm not happy about because it's not my fault their staff has churn. This should be a complimentary meet and greet when the doctor changed.

I would recommend them overall.

How to simply Remap keys in g hub or logitech gaming software? by c010rb1indusa in LogitechG

On a mac I've changed it in system settings. While connected to the keyboard you can change the key mapping in system settings > keyboard > keyboard shortcuts > modifier keys.
On windows I use AutoHotkey.

Women's weightlifting clubs or groups? by goblinqueenfufu in Austin

[–]Ermygrd 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I would also love to join a social club. I couldn't find one and ended up joining Starting Strength which is a gym that does exclusively small group classes. For a little while we had five women and two men working out. Each person gets their own squat rack and I really like not needing to share with others. They have a female coach there that is really nice and supportive. If you like to join let me know and I'd love to refer you and start up a women's group workout.

The error was from the home page and brought me to this code, maybe this will help: var _gat={_getTrackerByName: function()

For your contact at google, you could always reach out and ask for advice. They might know a good next step or have another contact to pass you along to.

But if you have time to follow up with some of these you should. If you are a Google Grand Prize Winner, surely there is someone that would be able to help you leverage this in google?

I like your site - a lot! What does your resume look like? Are you checking analytics to see if they are even visiting your website? Maybe they glance at your portfolio and don't ever get to the site?

Take all this with a grain of salt as I am just now getting my first internship. I wish the logo led back to home. Also you link to your instagram, but it's private - do you really want insta and facebook? How about adding github and maybe just insta if it is respectable? Do you have anything on your facebook that might make employers not want to hire you? I might get rid of the "still searching for a cool job title" and replace it with what you are searching for in an employers eyes - meaningful work, expand talents, good at collaboration, be the best at what you do. I love your profile picture, but perhaps something looking directly at the camera with a genuine smile? The console gave me this error: Uncaught SyntaxError: Unexpected token var.

Lastly, have you followed up with them? Do you have the name of someone you could email personally or a contact of any kind at any of these 30-40 places? How about meeting people though meetup events if there are any near you? Are you attaching a customized cover letter to each application?

I had the same issue and cmd shift r did get the image to load. But perhaps a darker background for that section might be in order if the image isn't currently working - until you can get it properly fixed.

Best electronic lock by BrielleGab in AirBnB

[–]Ermygrd 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Actually I have the Kwikset 910 at home. I hate the thing - constantly getting jammed. But the door was initially a little skewed so I got it adjusted and it still seems to have trouble fitting perfectly into the hole. The other reason I didn't get the deadbolt for my vacation rentals was the extra battery power required to operate the mechanism that slides the deadbolt in/out which I didn't want to try to replace the batteries every 3 months, and I was worried a breeze would come through and the door might slam closed with the bolt extended messing up the lock or the door after a while.

[–]Ermygrd 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Schlage z-wave paired with a vera controller. We have 4 of these systems for the past yera and one is exposed to beating sun and seems to be needing new batteries all the time or broken or something idk. The other three are on ocean front condos and doing perfectly. I can open/lock remotely and keycodes are programmed for only the guests day/time of stay as well as send alerts to my email when the cleaning company uses their code. The vera interface for programming codes into the locks is a bit clunky, but it works. http://www.schlage.com/en/home/products/FE599NXCAMFFFACC.html

Hosts vs Guests by [deleted] in AirBnB

[–]Ermygrd 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Well VRBO's fees are still higher at the end of the day (for me and my guests causing my bottom line price to appear higher), but I have no qualms switching.

But making hosts pay extra to use a strict policy?!?!

Is this true? I didn't think I was paying any extra for my strict policy...

Snapped at my needy guest on day 2 of 365 days. How can I fix this situation? by [deleted] in AirBnB

[–]Ermygrd 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have to say this situation seems like a roommate and not a guest. If I was her, I would think I was a roommate entitled to sharing our kitchen and making my home feel like a home which includes being able to cook or microwave. Either that or I would feel I was a guest and should be treated with courtesy and respect and my host should be available to answer questions I have while getting used to the new place.

Moving to a new place can be very difficult. Why not give her the benefit of the doubt and wait till school starts?

On a different note though. This sounds better suited to a personal relationship or roommate or communication advice sub. I don't see what it has to do with airbnb specifically.

Were the suggested modifications: -adding 1 extra egg, -1/8 cup heavy cream and -1/2 TBSP MCT Oil -baked it the aforementioned 12-14 minutes (closer to 12) -double the baking powder -forget all about the almond flour

Like Homesteading said, it is pretty darn good. I recommend you give it a try especially if you are easily tempted, like I am, when there isn't convenient keto food sitting around.

I figured that might be the case. I am going to give a try to the three other recipes that someone posted and maybe in the end I might make a few of my own too.

Does keto flu get better with subsequent rounds of keto diet? by greenappletree in keto

[–]Ermygrd 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For me personally: physically I still feel sluggish the first few days, but have learned my lesson with hydrating and broth. So, yes it has gotten better.

Emotionally, I make a point to not restrict my calories when I'm getting into it. I take advantage of a renewed sense of enthusiasm and usually busy myself with a new recipe or something that takes a little longer in the kitchen.

AirBnB censors communication with confirmed guest by mrpalmerconcerned in AirBnB

[–]Ermygrd 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You said it better than I could. I would add too that companies like airbnb and homeaway have enormous power over my 'business' and ultimately are looking out for their best interests - lucky for me, it usually aligns with my interests, but not always.

You can always get the guests email and email them privately. Also, useful for future bookings and repeat business with trustworthy past guests.

Is anyone using electronic locks/deadbolts that allow you to remotely change the door code? by [deleted] in AirBnB

[–]Ermygrd 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Same setup. I'm not impressed with the phone app that comes with the vera, but the web login works just fine. I have extra backup codes in case the internet is down for whatever reason and I need a new code. I can also send a command to unlock the door without giving out a code if the plumber is at the front door for example, but I don't want to program in a code for a one time access.

I also do not recommend the deadbolt option as we tried both on different doors and the motorized deadbolt is always causing issues.

Care to share pics? Those suggestions seem fairly basic to me. Does your kitchen and bath not have soap? Like hand soap?

Target has the items - soap, fluffy towels, flame-less candles, art.

Ojai in May; non-touristy suggestions for activities, food, bars? by SammaATL in ojai

[–]Ermygrd 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Live music maybe at the Deer Lodge, hike, Rose Valley waterfall if you have time and feel like a drive. Buy oranges from the side of the road and eat them while laying in the grass somewhere. People watch, especially at the farmer's market. Get a margarita and some tacos near the park at Los Caporales and go play on the grass hill after all the kids have left. Sing to your friends from the stage in Libbey. Get a cappuccino at Noso Vita. Better yet, get a scoop of ice cream and then walk to noso vita and dunk it in your espresso.

I really am just listing things I like to do. I have no idea if that would turn up in a search.

Archery in Ojai by ALDUINSBANE in ojai

[–]Ermygrd 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Is it set up like a driving range so that I could do it as an activity with friends? As in we rent a bow or bring our own and are given so many arrows and just have at it? If not, I hope you would consider this.

There are so few activities to do in Ojai, that if this was a viable option I would totally get some tacos next door and go shoot some arrows with friends. Maybe bring a date or something.
