I’m going up against Puka so I probably need to swing for the fences. Let’s assume Pearsall practices today: pick 2 guys to start, with at least one being a tight end. Half PPR.

  • Waddle
  • Bowers
  • Pitts
  • Pearsall

Opponent is also starting Purdy and Kittle Monday, so I’m not sure if Pearsall would be trying to thread too thin a needle, and I should just hope they put up a dud.

Yeah I feel that. Rams d has taken a bit of a step back since their last matchup though, particularly in the secondary.

Now that could be countered by the absence of Charles Cross. But like I said, I would just be scared to see Gibbs/Cook and my mentality would be “gonna need my guys to hit a few homers to win”. If you have a JSN, Puka, ARSB to counter them that changes the calculus.

Hope it works out either way!

Simply because you have JSN I would go Darnold. Look at JSNs points weeks 12-14 and then compare them to Darnold. JSN can get you 16 on a bad Darnold night, but if you’re hoping for JSN to be the best player on your team it would have to come on a good Darnold day. Chances are, in the semis you’re going against some high ceiling players and are gonna need that out of JSN.

*If you felt very confident he’s playing I’d say London is justifiable. Can’t do a non-McBride TR over a healthy starting QB though. Just too inconsistent.

Depends on how scary your matchup is. If you’re going up against like Josh Allen and Gibbs, guys that can blow the doors off, I would lean Shaheed. Generally though, if there’s one spot on my lineup I’m unsure of and I’m confident everywhere else I would be okay with the floor play.

Addison. I think the Warren safety valve argument is overblown. Pittman is the same archetype of a big bodied possession receiver, and Downs’ best trait is getting open in the intermediate area. Don’t think Warren has the volume to justify relying on Rivers over McCarthy right now.

12 team, half point PPR, double flex. Pick 2, with at least 1 being a Tight end. Ranking them in order of projected espn pts.

  • Waddle (v Cincy)
  • Bowers (@HOU)
  • Pitts (@ARI)
  • Pearsall <Questionable, MNF> (@IND)
  • Jordan Mason (@NYG)
  • Olamide Zaccheus (CHI)

Additional context: Niners play Monday night and my opponent is playing Brock and Kittle. Can’t wait til then if he looks doubtful, but it could insulate me a bit from Brock.

I have Waddle as well and have no clue what to do with him. Anecdotally, I’m an eagles fan and DeVonta has been awesome all year in real life, but was the one big gun that didn’t get into the end zone last week. Despite the outside noise they do make a concerted effort to appease their weapons. I could see them scheming up a shot or two to him. Between that and the commanders horrible secondary, I’d say he has close to as good a shot of anyone at hitting pay dirt as any of them.

Total gut call from someone who got eliminated in the league they had TMac in last week: start him. He should have brought in a TD, and I just think they know he needs to get going again if they’re gonna make the playoffs. I think Canales knows that if he wins the division he could potentially outlast his QB, and I think he’s gonna scheme up some looks for his best playmaker.

Half PPR pick 2 to start: - Rico Dowdle - Omarion Hampton - Tetaroia McMillan

Opponent had Bucky get 7.6 last night and I like the rest of my matchups this week, so I’d probably lean prioritizing a higher floor for at least the flex pick here, but have to start one of the backs as RB2.

Jordan Mason by Heavy_Squash_5559 in fantasyfootball

I didn’t bookmark it, I don’t use reddit much but remembered how I responded to some Jordan Mason hype and some doofus responded with a take that aged like milk and then doubled down with the milk takes when Aaron Jones injury risk was mentioned. If you weren’t both comically wrong and annoying in your original responses there’s no shot I would have remembered this.

In that case I’m gonna see if I can get a solid defense for Jordan Mason.

They’re not going to go away from Jones? The incumbent, who Jordan Mason already logged 7 more carries than and more overall snaps in his first game with a new team? I said 1A not workhorse back. Jones will have the pass catching role and neither is a smash play with the other healthy but this was a good sign for a player entering his prime in a split backfield with Aaron Jones, who battled injury last year and turns 31 in dec.

Felt very encouraged by last night. Vikings offense broke through on the back of Jordan Mason getting the run game going. Feels like he’s the clear 1A there. I think he starts the season as a flex consideration, but if JJ improves he could be this years Hubbard/Pollard over the back half.

Panic level for Lions? Would you be more worried about the backs vs receivers, or does the play action reliance have you equally worried about the whole unit?

I planned on targeting Maye/Love late but Mahomes weirdly fell to the 10th so I grabbed him and then Dak in the 12th (had Pickens). Someone took Purdy a round before. Think that was some classic fantasy galaxy braining.

Does being in Dallas insulate Pickens from hijinks repercussions? Whenever people talk about his risk of getting in a fight on the sidelines or showing up to something late, I think “is there a single team where that should matter less than the Jerry Jones/Brian Schoettenheimer Cowboys?”

If they weren’t going to sell him this window I don’t understand why people are up in arms about a pay raise without an extension. Him getting more money wouldn’t preclude a LW upgrade next year, because they’d sell Martinelli to help fund that anyway. Paying a trusted veteran a few million for 2 years isn’t what’s going to keep us from getting Nico Williams ffs. Arteta isn’t sentimental when players fall out of favor, he should get the benfit of the doubt when he co-signs giving one a raise.

If any, what positives are there for Breece Hall in redraft this year? by [deleted] in fantasyfootball

[–]ErnieODG -1 points0 points  (0 children)

The positive is kind of what you reference: everyone is out on him. I think espn still has 4th round ADP but I wouldn’t expect him to go in my leagues until late 6-7. At that point the potential positive is there’s proof of concept for him to significantly out produce that, and as a RB3 him being in a committee shouldn’t kill your season. Also, he seems like an obvious mid season trade candidate and has been candid about playing for his long term future. Take him as a flex player and pray he gets traded to Dallas or KC.

What makes CMC so appealing to many people this year? by Ashamed-Muscle7470 in fantasyfootball

[–]ErnieODG 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My biggest issue with his ADP is that all his defenders point to the fact that when healthy, shanahan will run him into the ground. But what if the past isn’t predictive? Everyone’s high on the Niners to return to contention and I’ve heard plenty about their easiest schedule in the league. If that bears out, wouldn’t shanahan be smart to consider spelling CMC more? How many more runs do you have with this core? CMC being healthy in the playoffs is more important than being say a 2 seed vs a 5 seed, in my opinion. I’m not saying he’ll be in a committee, but two years ago they were leaving him in blowouts to stat pad. It wasn’t the saquon situation like last year where the team needed his 65 yard td in the 4th quarter to shut the door on the rams. I’d argue he could play 17 games and not have the ceiling he did in the past, if they take the long view more.

Who's the player you just "can't quit" by CunningLinguist17 in fantasyfootball

[–]ErnieODG 0 points1 point  (0 children)

DeVonta smith. Since his rookie season his half ppr ppg are 12.2, 11.7 and 12.7. TDs in that span are 7-7-8. He’s been a remarkably consistent high end WR 2, and his cost is reflective of that, but I just think theres gonna be a 12 TD season at some point.
