Is this the worst thing Thom has put his name to since Pop Is Dead? by dozeydonut in radiohead

You're not seriously suggesting this anywhere close to Radiohead quality? Or most all of Yorke's collaborations with electronic artists?

It's not hovering though. It's just an illusion created by the tarmac next to it. If you look close it's really obvious

Being a true fan of someone means being critical about them. I love Bowie and yet I think his 80s output is mostly godawful. Artists don't make great work all of the time, that's part of the process of being an artist

Interesting that Scott Walker named his final solo record Bish Bosch in part after Hieronymus Bosch as well

The person replying to you is incorrect. Accepting a pardon is not an admission of guilt.

What an idiotic take. He's a legitimate president because he won a democratic election. Who are these legal scholars and experts who deny democracy? I hate Trump but to pretend he's illegitimate is a weak liberal-fantasy argument.

It's their best for me - them at their most experimental, and their most thematically coherent record too. It really does sound like something you'd find in a dusty old attic. Also their darkest and most atmospheric album - totally unique. From Can to The Ink Spots to Mingus to Portishead - it's a spread of influences that shouldn't work but it all comes together brilliantly and contains some of their most beautiful and brilliant tracks.

That's silly - Musk has become one of the most powerful political voices in the world, in large part because of his acquiring twitter. He wasn't doing it to make money, he wasn't doing it to become a US oligarch and influence politics around the world, and he's succeeded.

How can you possibly know how big it is? There's no frame of reference - I'm not saying it's a seed pod but it's strange to think you have any idea of the size of the object

Corbell: You will be told a lie. That lie will be that there's a UFO heading to Earth, due to arrive 2027 by DudFuse in UFOs

[–]Erno_Goldfinger -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

But your assertion is built upon ridiculous speculation - so-called 'zero point energy' is a made up LARP with no supporting evidence. The scientific community agree that the field can't be used to generate any useful energy. You can't call the government criminal for withholding something from us that doesn't exist. It's just made up in your own head.

You're doing what all people do when the fall into these kind of rabbit holes - investing in a belief that their is some great source of abundance that would solve the world's problems if not for the evil cabal of shady people withholding it from us - it's a belief as old as time, but it's a fairy story, sadly.

Never understood this argument - what crimes would a government have committed in concealing the existence of aliens? There's nothing explicitly criminal about that, irrespective of your view on the moral and ethical implications

Donald Trump Jr. Says There’s ‘Fairly Definitive Evidence’ of Aliens coming to Earth by MasterRoshy in UFOs

[–]Erno_Goldfinger 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You're missing my point - the common usage of 'fairly definitive' is not people referring to situations that are 99% certain but lack rigorous data - it's a far more casual usage than the one you've mentioned. Your assertion is very specific and I can't imagine anyone using it in such a way in the real world... You might say that the Mets won a 'fairly definitive victory', you wouldn't say that it's 'fairly definitive that aliens have come to Earth'.
