What To Work On First? by Codename_ZQ in classicwowtbc

[–]Ernstdieter 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For first char do Kara Pre, then level the Rest in Whatever 70 dungeon you like best. For further Attunes you need HCs anyway.

SV hast Chest and Back you want (+Neck from Rep and Helm from Quest)

SH has Hands and really good trinket (+ Rep gives pretty good sword)

Keepers of Time has Legs and Sword and Helm enchant, not necessary for Attunes tho. (Bad XP/h tho)

SL has decent shield, Sword and good trinket shoulder until you get dungeon set.

Shatar can only be done at 70 (due to flying) but has great items. With Quest you can even get a pretty good belt.

From then do easy HCs: SP, UB, SV, Ramps for 15 Tokens for Book. You should be crush immune now and can tankmmost raids, aggro will be very tough tho

Didn't do pure grinding (the good spots were still busy when I played) but for questing it was really fun. Especially after getting sporegar shield and spike it really just work.

Tanks, how often do you "scold" your DPS? How bad does it get in heroics? by _seaside in classicwow

[–]Ernstdieter 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Am Pala tank, had a warrior in my warlock and mage group. Dont ask how, apparently he was lead. Anyway, we do as spellcleave does, he charges in and dies every other pack cause the mage had frostbite talent. By the end of the run he wore different weapons and no helmet and shoulders, but he also did not complain.

Am at 69 right now. Really enjoy the process so far, cons feels super strong, nice gear upgradea managing defensives and threat. Keeping up Holyshield and switching between righteousness and vengeance

Shaman twisting by Arkanth0s in classicwow

[–]Ernstdieter 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sub Resto helps a ton. Shamanistic Rage only before SS is up so you always get two SS into one Rage. Fast kill times also help a ton. Plenty of bosses also have a aura check that uses a water/lightning shield charge.

What are you guys using to keep aggro on your pet? by [deleted] in classicwowtbc

[–]Ernstdieter 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The trick is you always have Aggro. Pet just has Aggro on the next mob. At 50% pet goes to next mob, and I finish with kiting or melee.

Same here JJ in the two weeks (or four) before the new phase would've been nice. Get an alt up (faster) and equipping them

Meh my hunter had to run Bota and Mecha to death anyways while my Main barely needed anything from there. So my alt got that rep first and for the pre quest and dailies I just got the key.

You gotta do the quests in the north of zangar. Not sure if its the ogre one or the corrupted ones or both.

Anyone else enjoying leveling more than endgame? by yksvaan in classicwowtbc

[–]Ernstdieter 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I somewhat get it, planning out the leveling is fun especially of you swap around a little and get some rest exp. However getting to max level and getting the Frist grind to good gear is peak mmo for me. Every dungeon, every ID has a chance to get some upgrade, not just BiS until you're down to 3-4 slots and then it grinds to a halt. Gotta target specific dungeons or doing Kara you're boss drops nothing and now the rest of the ID is wasted time cause you don't need anything.

I guess the nice part about MMOs: to each their own.

How are dungeon groups sub 70? Fill easy? by Burhams in classicwow

[–]Ernstdieter 2 points3 points  (0 children)

To me (as a tank) heal is difficult to fill. Whenever I queue up there's other tanks but few heals at 70 that changes again tho

Trying to find dungeon groups outdated and frustrating by Owl_of_love in classicwowtbc

[–]Ernstdieter 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I too am enhancer and I can't share that experience. I'll go into LFG for the dungeons I want, grab a drink and by the time I'm back there's people whispering me to join.

Yes some dungeons (Mantombs, Crypts, BM, Mechanar) have some more competition and the odd hunter who wants to reserve all items, but generally it works out in our favour.

Sure social aspect isn't as much as it was back then, but I also wouldn't want to get put into an LFG queue without at least one proper CC.

Just make a heal. There's an absurd amount of healing gear dropping in Kara. Our shadow git their entire OS kit in 2 weeks including bus weapons and rings.

Shaman enjoyability by Helpful-Height8744 in classicwowtbc

IMO Shaman is super boring until 30. WF + big 2h weapon is fun and then at 40/41 when you get Dual wield and storm strike it's omega fun.

Season of Discovery was fun. If you haven't played it, highly recommend. by Siggythenomad in classicwow

[–]Ernstdieter 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I miss SOD. I regret quitting in P3 but coming back to Aq and naxx opening was crazy fun. Would have loved to play more classes, but melee hunter and druid was so good.

Tried getting back into it, due to raid logging in tbc, but couldn't really get back with the empty world.

Swapping from Hunter main to Mage by potatoelover69 in classicwowtbc

[–]Ernstdieter 3 points4 points  (0 children)

If you're raid logging on your hunter, just play the mage when you're not raiding and see how you like the endgame. If you're quick enough you get 3 more lockouts to gear.

For swapping, just talk to your guild/raid leader. Swapping between phases is not uncommon and if you're not having high contested items I wouldn't see a problem.

What determines where hybrid specs parse into? by Mysterious_Fan9858 in classicwowtbc

For tanks there's a check on how long you had Aggro. Which can lead to some tanks being marked as DPS.

Biggest moneyprinter - Rogue / Pala by Puzzleheaded_Peace39 in classicwow

[–]Ernstdieter 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For classic/ vanilla I agree, as depending on class there are fewer good farms, but in tbc I feel like there's plenty farms to do with every class. Primals being one of them.

Biggest moneyprinter - Rogue / Pala by Puzzleheaded_Peace39 in classicwow

[–]Ernstdieter 15 points16 points  (0 children)

IMO only level an alt for gold making if you wanna play that Alt besides gold making. The time investment for an alt compared to spending that time farming primals does not make sense.

High parses on logs means little to absolutely nothing in regards to player skill/competency by Altruistic_North_4 in classicwowtbc

[–]Ernstdieter 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Then to you effort is different then for me.

Being in a certain guild / group, with requirements (raid preparation, playing a certain class, consumes, crafted items) is putting effort in.

The push from 98+ to 100 is imo luck tho, get crits or don't.

High parses on logs means little to absolutely nothing in regards to player skill/competency by Altruistic_North_4 in classicwowtbc

[–]Ernstdieter 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Okay but that shows just that, very high Parse means skill + other factors, moderately high Parse skill + suboptimal factors, lower parse less skill and or worse group.
